Love the nostalgia of this long time family owned business in The Shores. I appreciate the variety and sugar free and dairy free options available. Upon every visit I have had over the many years, the owner and staff has been very friendly and as sweet, if not sweeter than the ice cream! I’ve even witnessed them deal with a customer that has been rude and obnoxious. Kudos to the staff calmly handling the situation with kindness and patience. I sympathize with anyone in the service industry as some people can be judgmental and rude.

This place used to be wonderful; unfortunately now- the inside is void of any function or character, the ice cream is wildly overpriced, and the girls who work there have something deeply wrong with them.

Good ice cream, insane pricing. I feel like everything is expensive these days, but I’ve been coming here over the last few years. It’s been a while but I seemed to remember it was around $4-5 for a single scoop. Not cheap but not crazy. Well, I just paid $16.50 today for two ice creams. Nothing fancy. Two single scoop servings, one with hot fudge on top. I could have bought a whole half gallon at the store. It’s really good Guernsey ice cream, but I won’t be back until they lower the prices or the economy catches up with their crazy inflation. Sad. I always preferred the ice cream here versus Wally’s, but I guess I’ll just for a cheaper option. Won’t be back anytime soon. It’s a shame.

Should have looked at the prices more closely. Just figured it would be comparable to other ice cream shops, but wow!!! 2 small servings for $15.50. What a rip off

Lots of selections. Waffle bowl fresh. A bit pricy.

Strange ambience. Many rules. Notice all yhe signs telling you what to do and not to do. Ice cream is good, but needs more seating. Inside is weird.

to go ice cream, no seating and a bunch of no restroom signs, expensive and the place has seen better days

It’s clear this place cares more about squeezing every last cent from customers than showing the slightest bit of kindness. Absolutely disgraceful behavior. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

On June 22nd, one of the hottest days of summer, I asked the staff at Mastro’s Ice Cream Shop for just two small ice cubes to put in my baby’s water bottle. Their response? They refused—unless I paid $4.

Let that sink in. $4 for two pieces of ice—for a baby. In extreme heat. No compassion, no common sense, just greed.

I’ve never experienced anything so petty and heartless from a business. It wasn’t about the money—it was about helping a child stay cool and safe.

Shame on you, Mastro’s. Absolutely disgraceful.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Mastro's.
This is an amazing family owned business!
I have seen a lot of ice cream shops use one manufacture for there flavors.
When I asked why he doesn't just go through one manufacture he said he only uses the best flavors of all different kinds.
That stood out to me! Instead of cutting corners- Mastro's is dedicated to giving the customer the best experience possible!

This place is top notch!!!

Definitely the worst of the area ice cream shops. Average ice cream, highest prices

Justin

Friendly shop with a ton of local-themed flavors.

Bring your wallet!!! 5 dollars for a ‘scoop’ of ice cream (which is the size of a kid cup at best) is a little crazy. Many other nearby ice cream choices at much better prices. Won’t be back.
