New Order Coffee Roasters

Stopped at New Order on my way to Church to check them out; coffee, food, service, and vibes are all excellent. I asked for an annoying food request to make the Chorizo sandwich without dairy and everyone there participated in ensuring it was made with care. Closest to Southwest Detroit in terms of a breakfast burrito I’ve had in the 6 years we’ve been in the pointes; New Order is a gem and worth the trek especially if you’re tired of Starbucks in the pointes.

Great local cafe for coffee and breakfast sandwich lovers. They also have good specialty pastries. My husband gets the cereal milk lattes a lot, I usually go for the espresso

I’ve never had a bad experience at New Order coffee roasters, and have been consistently buying their whole beans and a latte weekly now for a while. The baristas and team are always so friendly! I love finally having a good coffee shop in this part of town. I moved here from Minneapolis a few years back and one thing I missed the most was a good coffee shop! This one checks that box! I wish it were a bit bigger with more seating, but they work with what they have and kill it every time!

Great spot for coffee and breakfast items. They also have hoe delivery of K-Cups available for their freshly roasted coffee. Free delivery available and my Keurig coffee has never tasted better than with their freshly roasted coffee pods!

My fiancé and I came early Sunday morning before church on Mother’s Day. It was approximately 10:45AM. There was ample street parking. There was not a long wait (maybe 2 people ahead of us.) I noticed that some people were sitting outside in their patio area. We decided to dine in and sit on the bar stools by the window. The coffee shop seemed like a hidden gem. It was small and quaint but adorable. I was surprised to see the coffee beans in the side room being processed. I ordered the caramel latte with almond milk and he ordered the vanilla latte. We decided to share the chorizo burrito. The coffee was so smooth and was pure perfection! The burrito was delightful. It came with a dipping sauce and a guacamole mixture. The only thing that made our visit less than perfect was the customer service. No one greeted us as we entered the restaurant. No one smiled. Everyone seemed irritable for some reason. It wasn’t even busy. Some other customers complimented their flowers on the outside flower boxes, but the conversation seemed dry. None of that staff even greeted customers with children to say, “Happy Mother’s Day!” A lot of the scones and burritos were sold out, so there was a short wait for ours. However, extra customers should have been expecting and prepared for. Additionally, a cheerful greeting and attitude would have been appreciated. I’d still give them another try because everyone is entitled to a bad day.

Best coffee! I don’t even live in Detroit and I keep this coffee on hand. My friend lives near there and I’m so glad I found this place!

Love to see more roasters in metro detroit! The level of thoughtfulness and quality in a shop that's both roasting it's own beans and producing it's own syrups is unbeatable! Never disappointed by the coffee I get here, and love trying their seasonal flavors. 100% the best coffee shop in SCS.

This place has the best veggie burritos I've had in a long time. The owner was really nice too. Wish the seating arrangement was better, but this is a prime to go spot for food & coffee if you don't intend on sitting down.

Been here twice. Cold brew is awesome! Regular house blend is very tasty as well. Also nice and strong which I like. Pumpkin bread was definitely worth it. Staff is cool and personable. 10/10!
