When I went to this place, I had very high expectations… unfortunately, the food turned out to be far below what I imagined. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp, and sadly, the rice was overcooked and too oily.

I also ordered the seafood tempura appetizer, which honestly left me disappointed. According to the menu, it was supposed to include vegetables (I expected maybe some steamed broccoli, peas, or something similar) along with shrimp, scallops, and calamari. In reality, we received just one small piece of each ingredient, all covered in a thick, greasy batter, and it did not taste good at all.

On the positive side, the restaurant has excellent service. The woman who took our order was very polite and pleasant, which I really appreciated.

The food was very tasty they give you great portions of meat in your dishes they cook at the table in the servants are very polite. The atmosphere was great because the traditional style of Japanese cooking was great to look at while preparing our dishes

First time going to a hibachi style restaurant and it was amazing. From the food to the polite staff it is a amazing place to go to and eat.

Used to be great, not sure what happened.

Our recent order online ended up having a different price (paid more in store at pickup than what it said online) and forgotten items (received less than ordered) and we were told that we weren’t charged for forgotten items and the total still was correct at a higher price than what it said when we placed the order online. Not sure how they think that’s acceptable to wave off with a “well there’s a sign on the restaurant door saying prices may vary” but that’s all we got.
Sushi was horrible which was super unlike previous experiences as well, nasty taste to 2/3 of our rolls, hoping we don’t get sick, but won’t bother calling back about that either due to the nonchalant careless “oh well” response we got about the forgotten items and price difference. We’d expect at least a little better customer service for 160$ order.

We won’t be ordering from them again, which is a shame since they used to be a favorite.

We went for lunch on a sat. We ordered shrimp chicken and beef. Comes with soup. Which was broth 2 mushrooms. It was cold. We put it aside. We told the waitress she said do you want me to hear it up. We said no. We don't want just broth. We waited 20 min until chef who was sitting in dining room on his phone. Finally came to hibachi. He had no personality. No talking. We got 3 pieces of shrimp and cubed meat with rice which was oily and hard. With teriyaki on meats. So in otherwise it was stirfry. For 28 dollars. Ridiculous. Do not recommend. Only 1 other table in there. I now know why. Smh

Probably the best lemon chicken I've ever had : super moist, perfectly light breaded with delightful dipping sauce.

There food is always good. With that being said I can only vouch for the Japanese and sushi, I've never had the Chinese food there.

Paid $50 for sushi that was almost certainly bought at the Kroger connected within the same strip mall. I can't speak to the other food, but don't waste your money on the sushi.

Shogun Japanese Chinese Restaurant has a charming, old-fashioned ambiance, but the food was disappointing. Prices are high for average flavors. The sushi was loosely wrapped and fell apart, and the rice was mushy. After dining, I experienced some stomach discomfort. I wouldn't recommend this place. People talk about Hibachi table so maybe you should try Hibachi experience instead.
