The Copper Penny Restaurant is a small, quaint spot with a bit of an outdated charm. The space itself feels cozy, but you can definitely tell it's seen some years. It’s not the most modern setting, but there’s something kind of nostalgic about it.
The prices are pretty reasonable, which is definitely a plus, especially for those looking for a casual breakfast without breaking the bank.
As for the service, I have to say, it was fantastic. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.
Now, the breakfast food… it was just okay. Nothing spectacular, but it got the job done. The flavors were fine, but nothing stood out as memorable. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and in the mood for a simple meal.
Overall, Copper Penny is a good choice if you’re not expecting anything extravagant but want a friendly, affordable place to grab a bite.
The food was good but not great. The waitress took quite some time to wait on us but was very nice.
Great breakfasts with huge portions. A favorite on Sundays.
Giant portions and delicious pancakes. Copper penny Is always a treat when in the shores
What a great place breakfast, the service, food and atmosphere are outstanding.
Very clean place, and reasonable prices. We've been here a handful of times recently, and added it to our list of places to go.
Coffee is good, hot, and refills are timely if that's your thing.

So I would like to start this off by saying that my boyfriend and I always love coming here. We try to come on Sunday mornings when we can. I usually order the same Belgian Waffle while my boyfriend like to hop around and try different things.
Today's experience, however, was something DIFFERENT. To start our waitress was an older lady. She is tall and has blonde hair in a bun, and she wears glasses. I wish I had gotten the name. When asked about the soft drinks option (coke or pepsi), she hesitated before answering as if she didn't know or had forgotten. Note: we went around their usual busy time around 10 am, and if you have a steady flow of customers, you would expect that knowledge to come almost immediately. She gave us a bit of time to get our order set, which leads me into my next point.
When I ordered my usual, I had to repeat my order twice for her to hear. It doesn't normally get that lound in the side area where we were sat. Also, as I had ordered, as I was taught, I make it a point to actually point to what I am ordering on the menu. She took my boyfriend's order with no issue. However, when the food was finally delivered to us, please note my surprise when I was given pancakes instead of the waffles. The two don't even sound similar. The issue was fixed by one of the regular waitresses on staff.
Also just a bit of extra info. The table behind us that was in the far corner hadn't gotten their bill. The waitress came by them to say "it had been lost". We overheard another waitress talking, the same one who corrected the previous mistake, and figured out that our waitress had cashed someone out for the wrong thing. Plus, she seemed to more avoid her tables than cater to them. My boyfriend had his coffee refilled by other staff three times. I barely was able to get a refill on my soda. All around it just seemed like our waitress was checked out.

Went there in the morning and ordered a chicken sandwich, which is on their menu and doesn't say breakfast only. And the cook had a meltdown and when the sandwich came it looked as if it was thrown together blindly. And the chicken was raw. I let the waitress know. But I didn't want to make a huge spectacle of it. They should strictly only serve a breakfast menu in the morning if their cook can't handle 6 people in the restaurant.

My son and I visited this place years and years ago. I was scrolling trying to find a restaurant and popped up and I was ecstatic. I immediately called my son and sent him photos to see if he remembered us going here when he was in Middle School and is 23 years old now. I'm Overjoyed that I found this place and will definitely be coming back!

Food is usually good, prices are good, but the service is horrible and they turn customers away when they still have open tables. You can wait up to an hour for your order. We had to stop going there when the waitress took 10 minutes to get our drink order, another 10 to bring them and get our food order and then she comes back 20 minutes later to tell us that they were out of the breakfast steak and all steak as a matter of fact! What would we like instead? ? We paid for the drinks, left, and haven't been back.

Extremely slow service, disorganized, okay food.
I arrived for my take out and they couldn't find my order. Once they found my order, they took another 30 minutes to make it. When I got home I discovered the order wasn't correct.
