Would of gave it 5 stars but only because of the seats. I hate to sit on high top chairs with no back, being picky maybe. I would of gave 4 and half stars for service but was no half.

We had never been to Zef's before though we would drive by often. After stopping in with family from out of town, we have decided we must come back when the upper deck is open! We tried 4 appetizers and loved all of them. The pretzel bites were perfectly toasty with a delicious cheese sauce. They were not generic pretzels and I was thrilled! The provolone cheesesticks were a fun twist but not all too different than mozzarella sticks. They were seasoned and cooked well, but nothing groundbreaking. We had the steak tips and while they had good seasoning, they were not the most tender and the bleu cheese really drowned out the flavors of the meat. I wish they would've either skipped the cheese or used something a little more blendable. However, the bourbon glazed brussel sprouts are a MUST ORDER! The bdussels were crispy, the sauce was sweet and tangy, and the goat cheese just put it over the top. So so amazing!! Highly recommend! My entree was the pulled pork mac and cheese. It was good, but I wouldn't order it again. I think it is a me thing but I felt like the pork had an off putting scent. I liked the crispy onions on top! The cheese sauce was decent but a little plain. My SIL got the Nashville CBR Mac and absolutely loved it, so maybe I'd consider trying that sometime. I did sample my boyfriends truffle fries (for science of course) and those were really good too! Our waitress was nice and got our orders out in a good timely manner. There is a bar if you're looking to just have drinks or small bites, and tvs if a game is on. The ambiance is a little loud with low light in the evening, but thats just standard for a busy restaurant. Once the weather warms up, we will be back to sit outside and enjoy the water while we dine!

Best place on Jefferson! Amazing food and great service always. Love their specials and it's always nice to sit by the water.

Great for a date night or if you have family from out of town to take out to dinner . If you sit upstairs it is a limited menu but you get a Birds Eye view of every marina north of 9 mile . And get to see all of the boats .

Tried to make a reservation here on the rooftop patio for a birthday party, but the staff told me they don't take reservations and to just arrive early on the day of. The day comes and we arrive before they open and the patio is already completely filled and reserved for a different party. Our group had to be seated downstairs, but they said would open up the dockside garage doors for us so it wouldn't be so bad. They lied again and said they will not be opening the doors, over an hour after they told us they would.

Nice view and setting. The burger is good. The draft beer was not cold enough. The truffle fries did not have enough truffle taste for the price.

The food was very good & at a great price. Lots of TVs and a good drink menu.

I am so disappointed! I just ordered a breakfast special and a single waffle. Although I frequent Eastern Market regularly, I have never eaten at Zefs. My breakfast special included two scrambled eggs, two sausage patties, hashbrowns, and toast. My bill came to $22.39 for one breakfast, which would have been fine if it were an outstanding breakfast. My waffle is rubbery instead of fluffy, and everything else is bland and basic. My hashbrowns are also oily on top of being bland and basic... I am completely underwhelmed. Sometimes it is best to just stick with what you know. I usually go to Frank's Deli, right up the road from Zefs but they are not open on Sundays. If you are in the Eastern Market area for breakfast save your money and delight your taste buds by going to Frank's Deli instead... Zefs should really be ashamed of themselves for serving this food and for the cost of this very bland, and basic food... smh!!!

I have been here more than 5 times and each time they are out of something on the menu. With that said though the food I have gotten has been good, and a good portion for the money. The atmosphere is great. Always appears clean and taken care of. Service has been pleasant. Will return.

Great location and view. We were in for lunch on a busy Sunday. We sat at the bar and had good service and good food.

The food and service were good. It's a little expensive but it's on the water. Par for waterfront dining.
