Drove two hours one way for beef jerky and really had to take a break, use a restroom, and get a drink. Smaller, quiet place which is perfect for me. Incredibly friendly and aware staff. Stayed for a second beer and a quick chat. It's a nice little place with nice people.

It's a dive, with a friendly barr tender. No beer on tap due to broken cooler, the bottle selection is bud, or Miller. I did not try the food, but it looked ok on the plate. This is the closest place to the Gladwin atv trail that had beer.

A little bar with a yummy burger. Wednesday evening, everything else was closed, Whalen's was open. Not a big selection, but the burgers we're good.

Came here in 1997 for a weekend job. Burgers were good and Whalen was singing Karaoke, he sounded exactly like Bob Seger, I had to turn around and make sure it wasn’t him. I will stop back in if I’m out there.
