This used to be the best restaurant. They have went so far down hill. We have never been treated so horribly at a restaurant as we were today. The male manager is extremely rude. We have been coming here for years but, never again.

I just wanted to say the waitress (in her fifties) was good personality skills. The food was bad. The open face turkey had a hard dried out Chuck on it, and found half a hand full of just chicken skin fat on it, My wet burrito was beautiful looking but the inside was cold. I asked the waitress to just pop it in the microwave. The turkey sandwich and wet burrito was remade and was great. I feel that there should of been some kinda comp for the bill. There wasn't and the waitress apologies we nice. So thank you. Everything else was fun, COOK needs to take pride in her food. This is coming from a cook in a resturant (myself). Wheelers if you feel the need to get back to me I am alright with that. I drove from Beaverton to get here. It just saddens me I could of stayed home and had the same treatment.

biscuits tasted like there were day or more old, i tried the biscuits and gravy. biscuits here hard and cold. as if they pulled them outta the fridge and poured the hot gravy over them. then we had to track down the server to get more coffee. not impressed 😕. Pancakes were good though.

Not what it use to be when Perry & Rose ran it . Food was pretty good , server did a great job. Like everywhere else prices of the meals have gone up . Use to stop probably once a month or more when I was a kid going to Alpena , boy has it changed ! Was kind of dingy ( poor lighting ) , smoky ( people could smoke in restaurants ) but food was GOOD , I kinda miss the old days .

Quaint but a little run down on the inside. A nice place to get a bite to eat. Food is always good.

Stopped in wheelers on my way home. Waitress took our order and then told us after that. It was going to be over an hour wait for our food. The waitress was nice and I felt like she was a little overwhelmed, but they were definitely shortstaffed.

Excellent food!! Doesn't look like much but a true gem and lots of history behind it.
We were on our way back from Mackinaw and needed lunch so searched for restaurant. This one popped up and sounded good so we decided to try it ... we weren't disappointed!!

Waited about 5-7 minutes to get a seat which was fine, but then waited 50 minutes for our food and it STILL wasn't there. Finally walked out because tired of watching. Can't rate the food because we DIDN'T GET ANY! Won't be back.

My omelet was way overcooked. Browned eggs on both sides, and the mushrooms were mixed with the egg! How do you screw up an omelet? We will not be back. Also, way too expensive for breakfast.
