“We are not from the area, but are in the area 2x/ year to camp. We found this place several years ago and now it is part of our routine. It’s a great little place that offers home cooked food- the kind of place that is hard to find anymore. No frills, nothing fancy. Just good menu, good food with great portion sizes, and friendly staff. We look forward to it every year.”

“This tavern is a gem! I was in town on business and looking for a place to have a beer and a snack—Gypsy Nickel checked all the boxes. I was greeted promptly upon entering, grabbed a seat at the bar, and had a cold beer in front of me within minutes. The chips and salsa were fresh and very tasty.
