Isla Detroit is a Filipino-owned restaurant located in metro Detroit, known for offering some of the best Filipino food in the area. The husband and wife duo behind Isla create delicious meals and desserts that are definitely worth the trip. Now situated in Sterling Heights, the restaurant features a diverse menu with generous portions. Customer favorites include the Lechon Kawali and the Pancit Bihon, which is super flavorful, along with the Pancit Palabok, celebrated for its incredible flavors. The food is always fresh and hot since it is made-to-order, and the portions are good. Desserts like the ube cheesecake, Halo Halo, and Sans Rival are highly praised for their taste and presentation. Many customers mention that the lechon kawali is crispy, tender, and full of flavor, and the dinuguan sauce pairs perfectly to cut the richness of the pork belly. The Pancit Bihon with chicken is flavorful and juicy, often so good that customers get extra to go for lunch. The restaurant has indoor seating and accommodates phone call-ahead orders. Despite moving locations, Isla continues to impress with its tasty offerings and family-owned charm. The staff is super friendly, and the place exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
