The only one filipino restaurant that had a decent Filipino food. Most of their food doesn’t really taste the same what should a filipino food would taste like. Their adobo doesn’t taste like adobo. They add extra $ for garlic rice which is they just put dried garlic on the top of white rice and it doesn’t taste LIKE garlic rice. Lol! Prices are so so. They don’t greet people that much. Sometimes, it goes awkward every time I go there because they be looking at you as is as you shouldn’t be there. Lol! Anyways, they should always update their google info. I went there earlier just to find out they’re closed. I had to drive an hour and half. *half hour got stuck on traffic* Google says they’re open.

Expect to wait at least 25 minutes for your food to be cooked/served. If you are craving for authentic Filipino food taste, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. I ordered chicken adobo but it tasted like salt and onion, not even a 40% taste of adobo. I am not sure about the other food they offer but stay away from adobo. You will be disappointed. The price is quite high too, better off spending at Olive Garden or something.

Delicious Filipino food cooked to perfection and portioned generously. My pork pancit bihon was full of flavor, and the warm, flaky banana turon is simply a must-try!

Pancit palabok is bland. Lechon pork kawali is good but much better with dipping sauce. Buko Halo Halo is instagrammable but nothing special about the taste. Cashew sansrival is good.

Loved the dinuguan sauce and lechon. My friends loved the chicken adobo. The pancit canton came with a good amount of vegetables.
I wish the rice bowls came with some vegetables on the side or offered some on the menu, even if it may not be orthodox. The turon tasted like the oil went rancid. The latik caramel sauce was so good though.

masarap masarap! ? it was our first time trying Isla Detroit for my mom’s birthday and oh my goodness everything was so dang tasty & fresh. Ate Jacqueline & Kuya JP were the sweetest souls with amazing customer service — from the first initial phone call to our time dining in. i haven’t had really good filipino food since my mom’s health declined, so we are very happy to find a family oriented place that surpassed our expectations. babalik tayo!

Wheelchair accessibility: Location was able to accommodate my wheelchair bound mother.

I have severe systemic nerve damage from autoimmune attacking my nervous system and am highly sensitive to MSG, I was able to order meals with no added/synthetic MSG in any of their dishes/sauces and I nearly teared up with gratefulness while eating! It was delicious and I could finally enjoy some of my favorite food types without fearing a severe reaction!!

The food was truly delicious and the woman who served us was beyond wonderful, attentive, and kind!

Please visit it’s a very nice alternative choice for a quick healthy and delicious meal!
