Our company has worked very close with Pennas Banquet Hall for over 15+ years. I am the cake designer for Grand Mid-East Pastry Delight in troy and many of our customers order cakes/sweet tables and such and book their party at Pennas. The establishment is very clean, organized, beautifully decorated, chic and modern. There is multiple ball rooms and can host a party of any size up to 700 people. Whether your having a small gathering of 20 or a wedding of 700, Pennas can service no problem. The customer service you recieve during booking is very professional, detail oriented and will do their best to keep costs low for your event and thoroughly go over all your options. As a vendor, they are so nice to work with. Again everything is clean and organized, workers are all kind and helpful. As a guest at a party here, it's a beautiful time. From marble flooring to gorgeous setting arrangements, awesome food, the bar is beautiful, the tables and chairs and furniture is very modern and pretty. Overall, it's a great venue!PS...Yes, they are known for their broccoli soup! ?

I went there for an MLK ( Martin Luther King) breakfast. All I have heard is how wonderful Ms. Penna is. The breakfast was wonderful, and the setup was superb. There were a lot of people there, but everything went smoothly. Excellent in progress.

Never experienced such disrespect and racism all in the same night! At a family members wedding I got told that I need to get off the table because it was over the ‘allowed’ number of people at one table? Then I had the ‘manager’ approach me and ask me over and over again which ‘village’ I am from! I was at a middle eastern wedding but when I mentioned that I was born and raised in Michigan she failed to understand that I am not a foreigner because she kept repeating the same question ‘what village are you from’ then when I asked to speak to the owner the owner came out she was very dismissive and thought it was okay for one of her employees to one tell me I have to move and second what ‘village’ I am from and kept saying ‘I’m Italian, people ask me what village I am from all the time’ then kept it short and said she had to go back to the kitchen. They are racist and so disrespectful towards their guests. People choose these places because they trust them I wouldn’t trust them with a cup of tea. Very u professional and it’s time someone speaks about this!
Food was excellent! The hall is superb! Service was excellent!

Food was delicious. Handled food allergies well. It feels like the staff rushes you to eat. They serve the food and want to take it from you within minutes. Give us a chance to eat and enjoy it. We felt very rushed. On multiple occasions they took our drinks before we were done with them. They have tiny water glasses and they take those too. Servers were very nice though.

MARY LOU&GEORGE ARE THE BEST! My fiancé and I booked another hall a year ago. We were displeased with our experience. We initially met with George at Villa Penna and he was so amazing we decided to go to Penna’s of Sterling due to our count. We were transparent with our situation and Mary Lou was incredibly understanding, patient, professional and personable. She answered all of our questions and truly made us feel like we were friends or family. She did not apply any pressure and because of our experience with both George&Mary Lou we toured, viewed packages and signed our contract the same day. We both left feeling like Mary Lou was a good friend and we’ve known her for a lifetime when we only just met that day. Thank you to the entire Penna family for an incredible experience.
