I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Sho Gun in Sterling Heights, but I left disappointed. The wait staff was surprisingly rude and dismissive, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. The food itself was fine, but good food can’t make up for poor service. I expected better hospitality and won’t be returning with my family

Food was nasty and unseasoned!!!! Drinks were nasty no flavor!!! Very outdated and empty!!! Butter doesn’t look like garlic butter.

Everything was wrong . Placed a pick up order women argued with me . Order should of been done by 9:10 its now 9:25 and im writing this review in the still waiting for my food wile employees are just sitting around and phones are ringing and not being answered .. this place is horrible anymore .. make the trip to osakas insted ...

I would not feed this to anyone let alone my dog. We came in, the place felt like a ghost town. We were seated, and almost immediately asked for our order without a sushi menu or anything. Chef finally came and then barked orders out. Finally food was done, receipts were shoved in our face before we even got to touch our food telling us we needed to pay. I then went on to take a bite of my food. The food was bland, the food was gross, and the food was overall unappetizing and inedible. I proceeded to ask for a refund for the food I didn’t even touch. I was refused. I asked for a manager, no manager is present on site and waitress told me he comes in and out whenever he pleases. I then told her that I did not even touch the food, and she refused saying “we need to pay for the air, electric and the gas” while I understand that, this is unacceptable to not even offer a managers number or any type of remorse or anything to make up for this terrible experience. I will not be coming back nor will I recommend this place to anybody.

I’ve been to your restaurant multiple times and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, it's usually excellent. However, on July 22nd around 9:00 PM, we ordered hibachi and were very disappointed. The food was served cold and lacked flavor, which is very unlike our past experiences.
We asked to speak with a manager to address the issue, but we were told the manager wasn’t available. When we asked for a way to contact the manager directly, we were unfortunately met with avoidance.
This was truly disappointing, especially given how much we’ve enjoyed dining here in the past. I would really appreciate it if the manager could reach out so we can discuss the situation directly.

I got a steak and mushrooms with fried rice and veggies. Everything was delicious and fresh. The restaurant was very clean and orderly.
Keep in mind that a surcharge is added to your bill . I think the surcharge was $7.?? I can't recall the cents.

Do not order from here they screwed up our order we came into correct it and they tried to charge us again and didn’t give us what they screwed up!

Awful customer service truly sucks they don’t know how to talk to customers or treat them just rude.
2 MONTHS LATER after boycotting decided to give it another shot to only realize I shouldn’t have even tried cause the service is just AWFUL their service just gets more impeccable! Placed an order told 15 mins come in to get it and the lady didn’t even place my order…. Get it together. My steak would of probably been overcooked anyways wouldn’t be the first time
The food was good and hot right off the grill. Our food was delicious 😋 the chef was very entertaining. I enjoyed my time at Shogun

The sushi wasn't too bad. I've had better. There were four of us. I had the salmon teriyaki had very little teriyaki taste And my salmon was very dry. Hardly edible. I might do a carry out order of their sushi. But I don't appreciate a service fee when there were only two of us paying on each Bill. I also think they we're expensive for the food quality. I feel sorry for the waitress that she doesn't receive a tip above the service fee.
Great place for a date. The food was just great and the service was real good!
