Good food and service

The food was really bad, you could taste the oil hadn't been changed in way too long, I could not finish it. The pasta had obviously been sitting out for too long. The servers were great, it's just the food was was way too off putting. We knew beforehand, its an applebees, 9 times out of 10 its gonna miss. I don't know why we bother anymore, won't be back, b-dubs, in between, or root 12 from now on. Get your stuff together food wise, there were only a few people at the bar and maybe 3 other tables in the establishment. There aren't many sit down restaurants in Sturgis, you hope when you do go out its at least good food, but man. Disappointing as hell. I can still taste the oil in my mouth 30 minutes after.

Well, we had no waitress/server, we did get 1 drink each from the hostess. And dinner was a bit dry, a bit disappointed this time.

Our waitress Leah H. Was very kind and service was prompt. Ordered the pickle fries, the portions were abysmal and the first order came out with broken chunks. Leah was great as she thought they looked a little light too. The hostess staff and servers were all just standing around near the front spilling tea loudly and was a giant turn off. Hardly a greeting and just looked unpleasant that we had walked in. Leah saved this from being a poorer review.

Really one of the best Applebee's I've been to in many years! I tend to think of Applebee's as an all right place to have dinner. Not something that's going to be surprising or amazing, but yet comforting and this one was well above and beyond the normal Applebee's. Think about this place that was better than many of the others.

We went with our Brother and Sister to celebrate our Birthdays. The food was good and the service was really good. We always enjoy the opportunities to dine at Applebee's.
