Stopped in here for breakfast while camping close by and incredibly pleased with everything! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the decor was cute, everything was nice and clean, and the food was amazing. This was the most delicious home cooked food we've had out at a restaurant in a long time! Highly recommend coming here to try and support local!
for a smaller place food was great very welcoming some spicy some not always making sure your good 1000% go again
Got the avi toast, the bread was hard and a little dry, the egg on top stone cold. My spouse got the chicken waffle sandwiches. The waffles were burnt. Not good, and it took forever. Don’t tell me I should have talked to you before I wrote this, because you served it this way. You saw the waffle was black, and put that side to the inside of the sandwiche. We won’t stop again.
1st time, food was great, portions were very good also. prices r very reasonable, atmosphere is great, staff very friendly, highly recommend
We came in for breakfast on a Thursday, and it wasn’t too busy. The service was great - you order at the counter, and the employee gave us feedback on all our items and helped us choose pastries. We ordered the avocado toast, corned beef hash with onion Challah, and the chicken waffle sandwich (the Goose). All three were fantastic, fresh and perfectly textured. We were so happy and impressed with the taste! Serving sizes were huge and prices were great for what you got. Tons of seating options and a very big, open space, great for socializing while you eat.
By far the best corn beef hash I’ve ever had!!!
It’s a unique place. It has seating that resembles a standard restaurant but the order is made and picked up at the counter. Coffee and condiments are self serve.
My wife had the French toast. It was good French toast.
All of the dishes have names of people which is a cute touch; but it also means you have to read the description of each item to know what’s available. It seems fine for a restaurant where you sit and read the menu while waiting for a server, perhaps a bit more questionable for someplace where you order at the counter.
Ultimately, the food and casual atmosphere make the trip well worth giving it a try.
The coffee was good.
The restaurant was nicely decorated with a rustic feel.
Bathrooms were clean.
You can park behind the restaurant and walk in through the back.
Bread and Butter is the best restaurant in Sturgis or anywhere nearby. Everything is made from scratch. Fresh bread, fresh soups, and even potato chips are made fresh. The shortstack wrap has homemade falafel. Everything on the menu is top notch. Why would you even dine anywhere else?!
I just cannot believe we didn't just leave. Probably just were too hungry. No table service, packet hot chocolate packets for $3.5 and you make it with hot water from their thermos yourself, obviously was not hot. Paper plates, plastic knifes, dirty looking meal. My daughter literally said it looks like airplane food. $30 for horrible food and experience.
We ate here for the first time and it was wonderful. The owners and son were VERY friendly and attentive to all the customers. We will DEFINITELY be returning!
I hate to do this because I'm all about supporting small businesses. I have had several incomplete orders lately they chose to do nothing about it. The quality of the food has been going down hill lately as well. So sad cuz I thought this place was going to be great and had great potential.

Oh my God, not enough good things to say about this place. Food was quick to order, so many fresh choices(but they also do no substitutes on something and when you are this good-I respect it). This will not be the last trip.
The containers are reusable and the packaging is so thought out. Massive respect, take my money.

You might as well pour a salt shaker in your mouth. $50 for eggs toast and potatoes. First and last time for me to eat there.

Went for the first time yesterday and the place is very clean and airy which is a big plus. I ordered a shawarma style pita wrap which was good and fresh but a fair bit dry. A side of dressing of some sort would have been nice. My friend ordered a sandwich and salad which took over 10 minutes to come out, I was well over halfway done with my pita wrap before she received her meal even though we ordered back to back. The sandwich was as expected but the salad was very pricey for lettuce, cheese, croutons and pre packaged dressing. Taking into account the extraordinarily high cost of ingredients and overhead, I felt a bit underwhelmed with my experience for the prices we paid.

My family enjoyed their food. My wife said it was the best BLT ever. My daughter said the same of her club.

My friend and I stopped in for breakfast around 9 am. It was very quiet. The menu takes a little to get through because the items are all people names so you have to read what each plate has on it. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The serving size was huge! I could only eat half and took the rest home. The bacon was perfect. At first the prices seemed a little high but when the food came out it was definitely worth it. Lots of choices and very good.
