Amazing service from the moment I walked in. The host was so friendly and genuine, she made me feel very welcome and was personable. Onto our service, we had Lexi as our server. She is so sweet and kind which really made our experience great. She did a fantastic job and is fun to chat with. We loved her and will definitely ask for her next time! The food was delicious and came out at reasonable times for being a busy Friday night! It’s not too loud, more on the quiet side. Good ambience. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t already and definitely ask for Lexi as your server!! 11/10, couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Live Bait hosted my sister's bridal party and exceeded all our expectations. The room was beautifully set up, the food was delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive, making it a truly special occasion. We mentioned that we would be bringing in hydrangeas as centerpieces, and they even went the extra mile to provide some as well! It was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Live Bait for your next event.

We waited over a year to try this place their normal scheduled cook wasn’t in we just paid $80 for a bunch of overcooked overpriced seafood with an over hour wait time and are leaving hungry maybe try opening just one restaurant I’m sick of all these places over reaching and leaving hungry chicken nuggets it is I guess

The food is okay, but there are mosquitos in the restaurant. I got at least 5 to 6 bites while I was there. With the recent wet weather, I know mosquitos are part of nature. I asked our waitress for insect repellent, but they didn’t have any. Then she asked, “Do you see them?” I don’t think anyone can see them easily in the evening with such dim lighting inside, and honestly, my body tells me what happened. She also kindly offered to move us to a different table, which was “nice” and useless. If mosquitos could understand, they will feel disrespected!

My point is that there are mosquitos in this restaurant during the current wet season. If you or your family members are prone to mosquito bites, you should avoid this place for now.

We dined here for the first time this weekend. The food was excellent, and the service was great. The oysters and white fish dip were super tasty. My husband and I both ordered the fish n chips, which were really good. They don't use a ton of breading and the dipping sauce was my favorite part (not a traditional tarter sauce). We both substituted the fries for the woodfire veggies, which were also very yummy. We will be back!

My husband and I tried live bait by accident. They have excelled food. We really enjoy our dinner here. Their oysters were beautiful! their lobster bisque was so amazing. We’ve been back a number of times for dinner. Btw. They have an excellent happy hour. Great choices and good portion sizes.

Absolutely fantastic food and service! The mussels were the best we’ve had, and the oysters were huge and delicious. This will be our new go to spot. Our waitress was amazing too.

Best Lobster Bisque and Fish & Chips in Michigan. The lightly breaded haddock with lemon caper sauce (instead of the typical mayonnaise & relish tarter sauce) is excellent. The decor is nice, and I'm a big fan of natural lighting, but something seems off in this space. Maybe the windows should be tinted or covered in fishing nets? The pizza side is more attractive during the day or night.
