JR's Hometown Grill & Pub

Simply a superb bar and restraunt, and should be the golden standard that other local taverns and pub should reach for. Have only had two subpar experiences here and that was relating to service and food, but understandably everyone has a bad day and I won't fault the bar keep for being annoyed when we came in close to closing. I also won't fault the cooks for delivering room temperature food to our table when we had such a large order to fulfill. Overall one of the best places in the area to go to for good drink and food.

Called in two salmon dinners for pickup. There were 3 ladies behind the bar and one working the floor. I had that waitress once before while dining in and she was awesome. Took quite a while for the girls to have time to ask was I there for a table or takeout. I replied take out. After waiting for what seemed like 5 minutes? I asked the girl at the register if I was too early for pickup or was something wrong and she replied "no, im just really swamped". The entire east wall tables were empty as well as several tables down the middle. Few minutes later I ask her if there's an upstairs, as this may explain why she's "swamped". Im Trying to be very polite and understanding, yet expressing my concern with my dinners and why no one can seem to walk 12 feet to the kitchen and get it. It was my 5th day of covid and I just wanted to pick it up and go. But instead I stood around in the foyer, while I was not even asked if I wanted a drink while waiting for my meals which were by then, way late. Big fan of jr's...this was a big let down.

The onion petals were good but not enough to share. Wings dry. Salad didn't seem it had fresh ingredients. Steak was very good. Server was very helpful and nice.

Prime rib was cold and extremely tough. Sweet potato fries were wimpy and cold. Specialty cocktail (Key Lime Pie ) was tasteless and had virtually no alcohol. It was mostly crushed ice.Manager was rather flippant and showed little interest. My bill (which included a cup of chili) came to $45 not including my tip. We will NOT be back.

One of the steaks our party ordered came undercooked. Took around 10-15 minutes to get it back, no apology. The food was great, but everyone finished their food before the steak was ready.
