My wife picked up dinner there tonight and I was not very impressed.
We had brisket, Mac and cheese, and Cole slaw. The brisket and Mac and cheese had good flavor, but both were really dry. Cole slaw tasted prepackaged similar to KFC.
Maybe we went on a bad night. Thanks to the flavors I would be willing to try again.

Sunset Ridge BBQ
Today I had the brisket platter, and it was solid. The fat on the brisket was rendered beautifully—sweet, with just the right amount of sear for that perfect touch of crisp. The main portion of the meat fell apart effortlessly, and the overall presentation of the platter looked great.
Big ol piece of cornbread and you’ve absolutely nailed the mac and cheese—spot on. Same goes for the creamy mashed potatoes—just excellent.
I really enjoyed the sweet peach BBQ sauce; it’s got a nice, mellow sweetness that works perfectly.
If y’all are looking for a great barbecue place in town, look no further this place is a Definite A rating in my book.

Always good...never disappointed. I go for the brisket, but ribs, turkey and wings are all great choices. BBQ Mike does it all well. Don't leave without trying the peach bbq sauce, the best!

As someone who tries the local BBQ everywhere they go, I’d put this up against any that I’ve had. Including Grand Champions like Big Bob Gibson or Tuffy Stone. On our only trip in so far, I had the wings, cheesy potato casserole, baked beans, cornbread and nanner pudding for dessert. My wife had that sammich, mac & cheese and peach cobbler. We tried several of their sauces as well. Our takeaways were that the wings were the best I’ve ever had, the pulled pork was the best my wife has ever had, we loved the sides and the desserts were spectacular. The Alabama White sauce was tasty, as was the peach BBQ, but the garlic buffalo-Q was the star. We can’t wait to go back for more!

If you need a boost of serotonin you can get it for free by just walking into this wonderful establishment. The aromatics are insane and also you get to meet the wonderful owner. He was so kind and delightful to talk to. As for the FOOD! The brisket was crispy on the edges and peppery and the meat was truly some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. I used to travel with a rib company from rib fest to rib fest and have had more brisket than most! My husband loved That Sammy the most classic pulled pork sandwich and the baked beans were rich and smoky and with a little heat on the end. I cannot say enough good things about our dinner. I literally ate it all I am bummed I forgot to add photos to this review.

This is, hands down, the best bbq I have had in Michigan. After living in KC for years I've been really craving good local BBQ and this is it. Great food, even better people, come get some good grub.
Just tried this place out for the first time today and I must say by far the best bbq in this area. So much flavor and soul put into these dishes I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work!
