My aunt Jane takes us here every year to celebrate both our family's fall birthdays! We know the sisters who own and operate the cafe and have our favorite menu items. I loved getting my own pot of chocolate milk as a kid and have many great memories here. This spot is perfect for a special occasion.

This was a great place for lunch and tea on a girls day out with my teenage daughter. The tea selection is quite vast and the staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable! Looking forward to my next visit. The chicken salad sandwich and chicken artichoke soup was delicious!

Excellent little place. The sisters that run it are actually from England so they know the real deal. They have a tremendous selection of loose tea. They have some pretty good sandwiches and desserts too. This is an excellent place to sit and have some tea.

I brought my daughter here yesterday and we were very impressed! She was home visiting from college, and we were looking for something fun to do! This was a great experience! The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, the staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the place was promising. When we ordered and our food arrived super quickly we were surprised. Everything LOOKED good. But as we started eating things went downhill very quickly. I got the plate of tea sandwiches and fruit and there was very little filling and the bread on the outside was stale. While i can accept a certain level of premade i still expect a better ratio of filling to bread. There was a rotten grape on my plate (which my luck I discovered after i had eaten a different one) and my friend got their cottage pie. There was literally two tiny bits of carrot and like maybe 7 peas. It wasn’t seasoned the best but it was palatable. We also realized they were microwaving everything as we heard the beeps and opening/slamming of the microwave door. After looking we realized their “kitchen” space was just a tiny walled off area behind us. The tea itself was fantastic but thats more to do with well sourced blends than them. While i would forgive them having instant mash and gravy ok their microwaved cottage pie for 12$ i could get the same thing from the freezer aisle at the store for a fraction of the price. To be completely honest, while i dont recommend their savories I did not get any of their dessert so that well and truly could be wonderful. Their tea blends are also very good so if you choose to go here i suggest sticking to the tea. These are all things that can be improved however and i hope to have a better experience when i visit in the future.

My partner and I visited The British Pantry Tea Garden Cafe due to recommendation. How come you find the most interesting places in small towns.

I ordered The Cottage Pie. Sort of a Shepard pie. It was out of this world . He ordered The Lava Cake & The Apple Slaw. Due to the fact of practicing Gluten-free. The menu also offered other alternatives for Gluten-free options.
It was so nice to see him actually eatinga dessert.

The service was very friendly accommodating.
Atmosphere was very unique. Warm and inviting.

Highly recommend.
I live in The Metro Detroit area & I would come down to Tecumseh just to attend this restaurant/Gift Store.

The atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in England again. The tea selection is wonderful and our server was very knowledgeable. Get the cinnamon scones if you get the opportunity. They are fabulous.
