Hank's Tavern on the River

Was seated last Friday. Waited for over 20 minutes for waiter/tress. No one ever came to table, even through 4 staff members stood around at waitress desk chit chatting and scrolling on phones… several waitresses walked by, looked at our table but said nothing didnt offer anything…. Better fire them and start off fresh w people who will work

I had such a great experience! The service was awesome, and our bartender, Carlee was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect the whole time. You can tell she really cares about what she’s doing. Definitely one of the best bartenders I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back because of her! Even though the weather was bad the service made it better

We had a great time at hanks ! The bartender was super friendly and our waitress Carly knocked it out of the park. Gave great suggestions and was really nice. 😊. We will be back ! The pulled pork nachos and steak bites were fantastic !

We sat outside since it was such a beautiful day. They had kayakers pulling off the river. It was somewhat busy that day but the staff I felt worked together well. We will definitely go back.

I followed the reviews, the reviews were right! Great food, great drinks, great service, and a great first time at Hank's. In fact, so good that we returned the following evening! This is one of the spots where you're immediately comfortable as soon as you walk in. Great menu, robust cocktails, personable service. You can quite simply like literally everything about this place.

We went for a late lunch
I had the big salad..yes it was big enough I got full I added steak to the salad.there was enough of everything in the salad I wasn't eating just lettuce at the end.
My husband got the cod basket he said his fish was really good. The fries had breading and were crisp .I will be going back again.

We are from valparaiso indiana. Everything we come into town, several times a year, we have to stop in for lunch or dinner. Food is alway good and we have tried everything, atmosphere is good, and service is good although during heavy times it can be a little slow. The wait is never very long. I have read several other reviews, most of which are good. For those of you that don't like it, don't come.

A friend that lives here recommended this place. Im from New Orleans so my friend knows my palette and my taste. I must say, the food was great!!!! Amanda was pur server and she was knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. I got the tenderloin tips, the house salad and the gumbo. Looks can be deceiving because the gumbo doesn't look like our gumbo from New Orleans, but it tasted great!!! The place was clean, and felt like a comfortable environment. I would recommend folks to stop here and eat!!!

A wonderful setting and really good service. The waitress was able to direct me to the one possible vegan option with some modifications. And that was helpful, I wasn't there to eat I was there to visit with friends while we had a meal. They made that possible and I appreciated the effort. It would be super cool if they did have one or two vegan options.
