We usually order take out. We are big sushi lovers and it is difficult to find good sushi in the midwest- let alone in a small town like Three Rivers Michigan. The sushi is ALWAYS freshly made, the ingredients are always fresh, and the care given to each roll is effortlessly noticed. They give you more than enough soy sauce, and the bento box is really nicely crafted. We haven't dined inside the restaurant, but when picking up our orders the atmosphere is pretty typical for the cuisine. They sell trinkets at the register which makes it fun and inviting. We like to sushi binge and order lost of rolls at one time. This last visit we ordered 5 or more different rolls and they came in separate containers which were all labeled. I have ordered the maki combo before, where the three different rolls were put into the same container, which made them stick together and caused them to fall apart when attempting to eat. That is my only complaint. I have also had their appetizers and those are very good as well. All in all, you can tell it is a family owned restaurant and that they really put their heart into their food. I really like the quality and freshness of their ingredients and food. You might find higher quality sushi at places over an hour away from Three Rivers, but if you want good food for a decent price and not from a grocery store, then please visit Tokyo. They have a great selection of dishes and sushi rolls to choose from! Also, I have noticed, the menu online does not seem to list all of their sushi options. It always best to visit the location and pick up a menu because I ordered from the online menu before, visited, grabbed their paper menu, and realized that I could have had even better food than what I thought! Lastly, their staff is always welcoming and accommodating, they have staff that are able to take your order in a precise way and help you understand items if you have questions. The restaurant looks and smells pretty good and the prices are pretty reasonable. Check out Tokyo!

Tonight we ordered carry out and we live 5 minutes from the restaurant. We got home, food was still hot, the salad had the crunch of fresh lettuce, the chicken was fantastic, crispy and full of sauce. The clear soup... Don't even get me started... It's so phenomenal!!
My husband orders their sushi and I get hibachi. Always 10/10, no food left!!

Absolutely amazing food! Brought my son here and he wanted to use chopsticks so as I was teaching him one of the women that run it I assume had got a new pair of chopsticks and put them together with some rubber bands and paper where he could use them. I love this place and the wonderful family oriented atmosphere.

Soo... we were rather disappointed in the Hibachi Dinner for Two. Service left a lot to be desired (had to ask for soup and salad, which comes with dinner. When we got them, the soup was very bland, and salad dressing had an odd grainy texture.) There were 3 shrimp on each plate, which seemed pretty skimpy for a $40 dinner. We asked for medium rare on the steak and got chewy, well-done instead.
Server did not know or understand the menu.
The table was visibly clean but felt sticky.
On a lighter note, the Samurai Roll was excellent.
