My favorite local dive bar. The floors and walls are crooked, it probably isn't structurally sound, but it has cool bartenders, good food, and a lot of history. Burgers are like a Sunday night cookout. Delicious

Stopped for one, the Buckhorn was packed so we tried Trout Lake Tavern. Friendly bartender, good drinks. 4 stars because it's pretty rundown. We didn't try any food so can't speak to that. Places like this need our support to stay open or we'll all just be going to Applebee's someday.
We stopped in for a late lunch one day and discovered REALLY good pizza! It was made with fresh ingredients, was hand tossed and BIG (one size here). We were pleased to find that it was not the usual thick, deep dish pizza. Too many places give you 2 inches of mushy dough with a light coating of toppings. This pie is more traditional with the proper proportions (thinner dough more topping). Much more tasty than so many other pizza offerings in the U.P. This is an older building which could use a bit of updating but we won't stop coming here regardless!! Worth the drive from our town 27 miles away.

We stopped by here at closing time. We didn’t know but they had temporary hours at the time. Anyway they served us even though it would keep them longer. The service was amazing and the food delicious! This is definitely a 5 star place! Oh did I mention, they served us with a smile and did not make us feel rushed!We are from Grand Rapids, Michigan but whenever we are in the area again we will definitely stop by there.

Quite a dive... place is run down the roof is falling down, poor lighting. They need to invest some time to fix the place up imo. To top it off, the only worker was not very friendly. Vibes that outsiders don't belong there.
