We heard good things about LaCocina and we finally made it over to Trufant on a Sat night. It was a nice, small town Mexican Grill. Part of the dining area is right next to the bar, space was tight, but acceptable, abit to noisy for my liking however. Our server was excellent and made sure everything was to our liking. The food was good too. I had a taco salad, and my wife had a fajita platter. My salad was pretty basic and average, still good and no complaints. My wife's fajita platter was very delicious, good seasoning and filling!!!! Overall it was worth driving to Trufant for dinner tonight.

Very casual atmosphere with absolutely amazing food. I was definitely taken by surprise by the cuisine in this small town, but I will certainly be back now that I know how great it is! ?

How can you say authentic Mexican when the chips and Salsa is from Gordon foods? Taco Bell is more authentic. Not sure how it has 4.5 stars. People must have no taste. My dog wouldn't eat it and my dog eats anything.

Everything was amazing!! Top shelf margarita was reasonably priced and the best tasting marg I have had in a LONG time! Food was excellent-we had la Cocina wet burrito, steak quesadilla and the Fajitas. All were top quality. Last but not least, service was top notch as well. Thank you to all of the hardworking servers (and bartenders) who were running their butts off to serve us.Definitely worth the 20-25 minute drive from Greenville. This place is on a whole ‘nother level! And I almost forgot to mention that their prices are great too. Go there for lunch or dinner today, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

It was a little busy.But the food came so quick once we finally ordered.The server was so kind to correct my horrible mis pronunciation of the name.I said Cochina not a nice word.CoSeena is how I remember to say it now.Oops...I will be back for a chimiKid-friendliness: Our kids did well.It's not the snuty type crowd. I didn't feel judged for having so many chaotic kiddos.

Called in a takeout order today. Never been in Trufant before. Pork tacos were delicious. Reasonable price. Would definitely go there again

Cool Mexican style bar in a small town. Our sever (sorry we can't remember your name but you called your self the crazy redhead) was out standing and total worth a return trip. She was quick with the drinks and attentive to our questions and generally very friendly. I would definitely return and try some of the different plates.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is available.
