Spent the most wonderful evening at Host recently. Highly recommend the old fashioned. Atmosphere was great. The staff was lovely and the owner came by our table to check in. We utilized the Parents Night Out feature and were blown away with the experience. Danika was amazing with the kids and they didn’t want to leave. Made for a very easy date night!Kid-friendliness: The Parents Night Out option made the meal very child friendly. Our toddlers were able to play upstairs in the coworking space with a sitter. They were close by in case anything happened and it was safe and secure. The hostess had an ear piece that connected to the sitter upstairs so we were being updated throughout the night. Highly recommend!

Don't seem to care about the city they do business in.Can't say about the food, or service but the owner either allows or ignores his employees smoking behind the building and throwing their butts all over the alley that other businesses must share with them. You would think he would at least get them an outdoor ashtray, from the comments on here, it sounds like the inside is beautiful, he should care about the litter outside as well. Keep Utica and the downtown area nice and not dirty.

My Husband, Dad and I finally got a chance to try Host this past weekend. I have been following on social media for a while and I decide we were going to go for brunch. We got sat right away. The atmosphere is clean and trendy. The drinks and food were amazing. My dad thinks he’s an espresso martini connoisseur and he was so impressed with the espresso martini flight!!! And our waitress Sydney was so awesome! So attentive and friendly! Really top notch! I cannot wait to go back to try it for dinner or one of their cool events they put on. Highly recommend!!!

We were looking forward to visiting Host. We heard good things about it. Unfortunately, our first visit did not leave a positive impression. We arrived and were seated quickly. We watched many tables being served, but we were not. After a while I finally asked a employee who was clearing the table next to us if we had a server. Even after asking we waited longer. The server did apologize for the wait. We ordered our beverages, tea and regular coffee. The coffee was strong, which is fine, but had a very bitter aftertaste. It wasn't like it had been sitting a while, it was just bitter. Our food arrived and looked great. When asked if we needed anything else, I requested salt and pepper, which wasn't on the table. After waiting for quite a while, we finally waved down another employee to ask again. I was never given a coffee refill until I asked again. Overall, I would not recommend Host, not because of the food. The service gave me a negative impression and we won't be back.

Food was not as advertised on menu…..Ordered a lucky charms latte, pancakes, and sausage.Latte was $6.50, not worth at all. It was just a regular latte with lucky charms cereal marshmallows on top. (False advertising)Pancakes were $13, it was supposed to be a specialty set that had chocolate syrup, brownie crumbles, and powered sugar. That was also a lie…. Only the top pancake(1 out of the 3) had chocolate and powdered sugar. It didn’t even have the brownie crumble on it. Complete scam, as the pancakes under the top one were all dry and regular.Sausages side was $6. Biggest ripoff of them all, you only get 2 small sausage patties…. No restaurant I’ve ever been too has scammed so much to give so little food for what you pay for.The server acted like she didn’t know anything about the food when she was asked by me. Also got kinda racist vibes from how I was treated because of the quality of food I expected.I will probably NEVER come here again, because it’s no way I can justify it being worth it to eat here.

Delicious. I’ve only been here twice, but I can’t wait to go back. They have rotating chefs and cocktail and coffee baristas that are ARTISTS, everything they make is simultaneously beautiful and delicious. Very instagram-worthy. The food has been delicious every time. I live 45 min away, or I would likely be here every week. The food pictured is from our visit for dinner in October of last year. We’ve also had brunch here too. Both were delicious!

Our third time there- first time sitting at the bar. Will be our last time ever sitting at the bar. (Sat there for happy hour). Unfortunately the 2 male bartenders were not at all friendly. Didn’t really check on us. We had to speak up a few times to say what we wanted. Then a girl who was at least friendlier than the guys helped us a couple times. At one point when we were done eating we were basically completely ignored for almost 30 minutes waiting for them to ask us if we needed a box (we clearly did). The only thing that redeemed the visit was them giving us a sample size of a cocktail for free when they had leftovers. Besides that they just were not nice or friendly at all. Disappointed…I do recommend going but not sitting at the bar. We also had a good experience at the tiki bar upstairs on a prior visit.

I've heard many good things about host and finally got the chance to check it out this weekend with a friend of mine. Parking here's a doozy, so pack your patience, ability to drive around in circles and parallel park.Walking in, the place is well decorated and has a fabulous atmosphere. A nice cross section of people here. Young families, older folks, kids, you name it. I love the chairs in the front to sit and wait, but man, when that front door slams, it SLAMS. I think it's from the wind, but watch out!My friend got a breakfast plate but I went with the Dom's smash burger with fries. Unfortunately, they don't have sweet potato fries, but let me tell you, these "regular" fries were delicious! I stuck it out with water and a cup of their tea. They also ran out of coffee cream, which was a bummer because we wanted the pour over coffee to try.Overall Jesse was our server and he was fabulous. He really was so cool that I want to come back just for the quality of service he provided. Very knowledgeable, smart and efficient, he really made the experience fabulous.
