I loved this place I’m so sad to see it go… my boyfriend and I loved to skate the Clinton River trail from dodge park to downtown Utica just to get shawarma. I hope one day they can come back 😢❤️

I called the place to ask if the meat they serve was Halal, the person that answered was extremley rude, basically told me I called before with the same question and than hung up on me. Not sure what or why he was mad about the question but that is just crazy, maybe he has to many customers and not looking to get more. Just wanted to share my experience, guess not everyone is ment to be a business owner .

Excellent! The 6 person tray was delicious and SO MUCH food. Great price too. Everything was cooked perfectly. The french fries were even still crispy when I got home. Friendly service too. I will be back soon. I had a sample of the fries with shawarma, pickles, and garlic...YUM WOW!!!

Papa's Shawarma is where it's at. Wife gets the chicken Shawarma wrap, I get the beef. I mistakingly ordered the loaded chicken Shawarma fries and they are 🔥! Skip the franchise restaurants and give Papa's a try. More bang for the buck and delicious! I'd like to see them survive so please share the info. Support the small businesses! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa's Shawarma, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, some of the best I've ever had, with flavors that were both rich and authentic. I got the Chicken Cream Chop, which I had never had prior to today but I will say it was definitely a top 5 dish I have ever had in my life. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, offering great value for such high-quality meals. I highly recommend Papa's Shawarma to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience and I will definitely be returning soon!

Falafel wrap and lentil soup were VERY unique...maybe a curry taste. Not entirely sure but it was absolutely delicious. I normally like bread with my soup but the wrap was overly filling together with the soup.
