Papa's Shawarma is where it's at. Wife gets the chicken Shawarma wrap, I get the beef. I mistakingly ordered the loaded chicken Shawarma fries and they are šŸ”„! Skip the franchise restaurants and give Papa's a try. More bang for the buck and delicious! I'd like to see them survive so please share the info. Support the small businesses! No I'm not affiliated in ANY way. I just really like their food and I'm local.

Falafel wrap and lentil soup were VERY unique...maybe a curry taste. Not entirely sure but it was absolutely delicious. I normally like bread with my soup but the wrap was overly filling together with the soup.

If you love Middle-Eastern food, you have to try this place! Downtown Utica has so many great restaurants and this is one of them. This is our new ā€œgo toā€ for shawarma and fattoush.

My food tasted fantastic. I had a chicken tikka pita and lentil soup. The minus star is for two problems. I paid six dollars for soup and they sent me a small cup, which is a ripoff. They need to change the price or order bowl size containers. Second, I ordered a beef Shawarma sandwich which they were out of so they waited until my dasher was there for pick up to ask what I wanted instead. My Dasher had to call me. They couldn’t bother themselves to pick up the phone to call me before hand, so my Dasher had to wait awhile on them to cook it. That cost me extra because I gave my Dasher an extra few bucks on top of their tip for having to wait.
At least this time, the second time, they completed my order. The first time I placed an order with them they just canceled it. I figured either they didn’t have what I ordered or they wanted to leave early.
The food was yummy, but I don’t really recommend ordering from here through DoorDash or similar. Next time I will order directly from them and pick it up or just dine in so I don’t have any issues.

Stopped in on a whim as I was passing by, and I'm glad I did - I grabbed a shawarma to go, and it was really delicious. Great flavor, very friendly staff, service was very fast. I'll be back for sure.

Ordered online. Upon arrival for pickup, we found out they cancelled the order. They close very early for a food business and seem to not be prepared to serve customers, even one hour prior to closure.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, hadn't seen them before. Got to meet Papa and he said they have only been there for a few months now. The food was amazing and the cashier/waitress made some great recommendations. The beef and chicken platters were an ample amount that we still have plenty for left overs! One of my favorites, the garlic sauce was on point and the baklava was a perfect buttery sweet. A definite must return place to eat.

Parking: Municipal lot parking and street parking readily available for lunch time.

Papa's Shawarma: A Hidden Gem

I recently stumbled upon Papa's Shawarma, and I'm so glad I did. This unassuming little spot serves up some of the most delicious shawarma I've ever tasted.

The shawarma was a masterpiece. The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The pita bread was fresh and soft, providing the perfect vessel for the delicious fillings. The combination of flavors was simply divine.

The staff at Papa's Shawarma were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lay, who took my order, was especially helpful and knowledgeable. She made sure I had everything I needed and even offered me some helpful recommendations. (Pro Tip, if you like spicy, ask for the Buffalo Shawarma! Chefs Kiss.

While I didn't dine in, I definitely plan on returning to try more of their menu. Papa's Shawarma is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered.

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
