I didn't have my phone with me but that is their size large for a hot fudge sundea and it was 6.88. I would think at the the very least that's medium. They used to be pretty reasonable in price but since changing hands a year or two ago it's not the same. Next time when I'm dying for some ice cream there is a little shop right on 46 in edmore.
Edit: Owner responded with economic stats in regards to the price and referenced DQ's large 10 oz sundea (Mt. Pleasant 20 miles away). In fact DQ's sundea is in fact 12oz and its 4.50 after tax (cost savings of 53%). I've used google reviews extensively traveling across the United States and Canada and its a great tool for the traveler. So travelers, you have options.
Ice cream= 5 stars.
Choice of music/podcast blaring on the speakers= awful and not appropriate for children. Were there near closing time Thurs 7/10 with our young children, and there was swearing, including the f-word and teenagers talking about sex on what we assume was a podcast blaring over the speakers. Not sure if they were just trying to get us to leave so they could close, but it was not appreciated.
Update 07/13: We called the owner per his reply. Very nice guy. Seemed genuinely upset to hear about our issues and said he would be looking into them.
Great local ice cream shop.
Great ice cream and food, cool little spot to stop, relax and cool off.
Pretty good ratio of candy to soft serve in a flurries, but each flurrie had a hole in the side and made a mess. Process needs work.
Thank you Farmer in the Dell for supporting our local school! You always do a great job and strive for excellence. I am proud to be a former Dell Girl and have 3 children and one niece currently working there to provide everyone great service and great food!
We visited the Farmer in the Dell today on the way to drop off our kids at Rock Lake Camp. We were sad to see that the new owners have let the place go. The beautiful animal murals are in desperate need of new paint. The tables were filthy. I got orange stuff all over the butt of my new shorts by just sitting down. There was only one dairy free option. The lemonade machine was broken down also. We were also disappointed that the strawberry shake had fake strawberry syrup/flavor, no actual strawberries. One girl in our party ordered a cherry slushy and threw it away because she said it was awful. We are also disappointed that the Dell has cut ties with the camp in offering kids ice cream coupons after they left camp. The Dell's roots run deep in my family. It was my Mom's first job and the family who originally owned it were our friends. I'm sure Mrs. Bradley would be heartbroken at the state of the place. I don't know if we will continue stopping after our disappointing experience.
Not the best, not the worst.
Goods: portions were large and their ice cream sandwich was delicious
Cons: overpriced and customer service was sub par. It was busy and young staff.
This has been one of my favorite places to go for ice cream since I was a kid!
Kid-friendliness: Favorite place for kids

The service was super good! The people working were all nice and quick.
The atmosphere was cute, and well kept up.
But mine and my boyfriend’s ice cream was not good, I got a flurrie and he got a milkshake and the flurrie melted all over my hand in like 3 minutes. I didn’t get more than 5 bites in before I was covered in ice cream, and my boyfriend’s milkshake was more like water than shake.
It’s a super cute place! But the soft serve just isn’t good :/

Came with a larger group, and they served us quickly and happily. Ice cream treats were good and everyone was happy.

Third visit since the ownership change and the service is getting progressively worse. This time the young girl didn’t even greet us at the window; she just stood there and didn’t say a word. Then my order came out wrong.
