Met with us on a Sunday with Call in same day appt!Chickens were in good health and very pretty ?gave them a bath and put them in the coop with a 3/4 acre free range run with the rest of our flock. definitely will be back ??
Bought 4 chicks from this place. When I got them one was noticably smaller and a second didn't seem healthy at all. The small one died about a week later. The second one died few days after that. Casualties are to be expected but 50% seems a bit high. Also when I got there to pick them up it seemed kind of sketchy. The guy slipped out the door and shut it quickly behind him. Acted like he didn't want me to see inside. Got the birds in a very used Amazon box. Kinda dirty. All that being said my two survivors are doing well. One is a beautiful rooster that I really like. I would suggest they present their chicks in a more professional manner and clean the place up.
We brought 16 chicks...5 are roosters?♂️
Beautiful birds. Owners are very friendly with helpful advice. They definitely care about what the birds they raise.
I paid good money for pullets. After a few weeks I noticed I had a rooster. After several weeks they all had mareks desease. Waste of money
I bought 4 “pullet” chicks. Of the 4 pullets 2 ended up roosters. The worst is they died of paralysis of legs and wings at 16-20 weeks of age. We believed the symptoms aligned with mareks disease. I see another reviewer had a similar experience recently with a confirmed diagnosis through MSU. I have culled my entire flock as they have all been exposed. I hope this hatchery does the right thing and does not sell chicks until they have eradicated their infected flocks.
I purchase 24 heritage breeds chicks from them and after 12+ chicken slow decline and death and multiple Michigan state necropsies. Mareks disease was the diagnosis. I would not purchase chicks from this hatchery. I built a new farm with new hen house and all new equipment. Funky chicken hatchery was the source of Mareks! It really sucks!
Absolutely FABULOUS breeder. Her chicks are so healthy! I will never buy from a farm store again.
This is an awesome place to get heritage chicken, turkeys, ducks and more! The family is nice, and outrageously helpful and informative! I've never had birds before, and the lady was so helpful with all of my questions, she offered all kinds of advice, and when one of my turkeys got a swollen face, she looked at the picture and correctly identified the issue ,and told me to get this stuff from tractor supply called VetRX, which is all natural essential oils that help clear out turkey sinuses (something I researched and found out is a common issue with baby turkeys, they're very fragile when young), it worked like a charm! All the birds I've ever gotten have been very healthy, and she goes to great lengths to keep a clean and healthy environment! I now get all of my birds from her, and on top of the excellent quality, her birds are very affordable! I highly suggest this business!
Easy to find, Andrea is super knowledgeable and polite. The chicks I got from her are growing fast and healthy. Definitely recommend!
