I cannot remember our servers name from this afternoon at Logan’s in Walker, MI but he was absolutely phenomenal! Very nice guy and always made sure we had full drinks etc. of course the food is always great but he will be the reason we come back again. Definitely need more employees like him!! Made sure to give him almost a 50% tip! Well done sir! My mom and I were both talking about you an hour after we left. Haha.
We went to Logan’s Roadhouse on Alpine Ave in Walker Mi. It was approximately 7:20 pm. Three or more wait staff argued at the hostess station right in front of us about taking our larger party of 5 adults 3 children. They stated it was cut time for early out. They close at 10pm so we were there in plenty of time. The staff member who finally turned around and said you can follow me was also clearly annoyed by our presence. We politely told her never mind and walked out. We were able to mention it to the manager who was indifferent to the situation. The only one that showed any remorse was the young man who happily agreed to take us without any hesitation but had to jump sections to do so. To that young man, I am so sorry you missed out, we do take good care of the servers that treat us well like I am sure you would have. The way that YOU personally greeted us, engaged our children and wished the two men in our group a Happy Father’s Day did not go unnoticed. I almost walked back in to give you the tip you missed out on but that front staff had us pretty frazzled. I wish I knew your name…. I would consider coming back ONLY if I could request your section so that I could tell you personally and make up that loss to you.
Always great deals
We tried to go here for dinner on Father’s Day. When we walked in, there was 6-8 employees behind the desk folding napkins and stuffing menus. There were 4-5 groups of people waiting to be seated. I walked up and to the desk to give our name and was snapped at that “the host will ask for your name when she’s done cleaning tables.” From our vantage point, we could see 8+ clean tables that were empty.
We waited…and waited…and waited. All the staff behind the table didn’t communicate or show any kind of urgency for the growing group of customers. What’s frustrating is the restaurant was empty. More tables available then used.
Soon a girl started taking names “for the host”. When we asked “how long?” She said she “didn’t know” and was waiting on the host to “clean tables.”
We ended up leaving because after 10 min-no one had been seated in the empty restaurant and we knew service was going to be rough.
You’d think with these chain restaurants dying, they would show a little bit of customer service. We ended up going to a locally owned restaurant and had a great meal.
Nice place! Typical chain restaurant steak house. As these type of restaurants go, this place has it going on! Food not anything to marvel over, but still yummy. Very clean and great wait staff. Good location for shopping before dinner. You can hit Target, Home Goods, Best Buy, Hobby Lobby, Ulta, Menards, Sam's Club, and Pet Supplies Plus all in one fell swoop. That'll make ya hangry (angry hungry) 😁
So slow
Had the smokehouse platter. The chicken was raw by the bone. Manager whom handled my complaint tells me it's not raw it's just smoked and it appears that way. I know raw meat when I see it. His attitude was so bad when handling me I just didn't say anything. Offers a 6.00 discount. Again appalled by his explanation like the chicken was okay for consumption. Once you bite into raw chicken you kinda lose your appetite. I did. He tried to put the meal down after complaining and asked if I still wanted it. With raw chicken it can contaminated the other items. Worst MANAGER EVER.
I came into Logan's tonight with my aunt and uncle, our server was Ellie(Ally, I might have heard wrong) we got 3 Serloins, a couple of salads, and some veggies. our server was the kindest, promptest, and best customer service I've ever had. I WILL be back again! My steak was perfect (killed it) my beans and broccoli were delicious (smashed) and if I could have given her all the money in my pocket as a tip, I would have! 10/10
Hostess forgot to seat us after a 25 minute wait. We noticed other customers after us being seated, hostess apologized and seated us. After another 20 minute wait with no waitress to wait on us after asking several times in which no one gave a s**t we left. Never to return. Went to Outback the service sooo much better. Alpine Logan’s totally not worth it. Goodbye forever.
Sent my steak back 2 times over cooked this is sad

I thought line expos were issued to wear gloves while handling food per OSHA regulations. When we walked in looked over to the food pick up line and a gentleman was throwing veggies onto plates without gloves …??? And there were fruit flies everywhere. Praying we don’t get sick 🫤
Logan’s on Alpine has become a filthy fly ridden dump. We went there tonight, the restaurant was 1/2 empty, and we were told a 45 minute wait. We gave our name thinking it would be quicker because the place was so empty. We waited at least 45 minutes while meals to go piled up at the hostess station, it was a constant line of door dash people. So they have sit down customers wait and keep taking orders on take out food. We got to our table and fruit flys were everywhere, like thick swarms. They landed on glasses, rolls, butter and food. I was told “it was worse, we got fly paper now” from the server. I ordered a 12 ounce Ribeye medium and it was the worst steak I have ever cut into. Completely RAW on 1/4 and rare on the rest. It was so full of grizzle I could not cut thru it. Somebody from the kitchen drops your food on the table and you wait half way thru your tables meals to have your waiter finally drop by. He took the steak back, told me I would get a fresh one and came back with the same piece of tough meat only now it had been smashed on a grill to brown the raw top. I could not eat it. I went home hungry. The waiter apologized and said it looked terrible and the cook is bad and the new manager doesn’t care. This was the lowest quality meat they could buy. Very disappointing! I have no desire to go there ever again.

when we got there there was no one in line. we had a party of six. was told it would be 20-30 minutes. We sat down to wait. other people started to come in and were told it was going to be longer up to and hour and a half. meanwhile there was four employees at the front desk two of which were playing with post-it notes. I surveyed the restaurant and noticed half of the booths/tables were empty. after 30 minutes we were still not seated. the employees started telling us the reason why we were waiting was because the kitchen was backed up. so we sat and waited with other people. and waited! yet they were taking calls and sending food out for delivery, yet we couldn't even be seated. talk about piss poor management! I can understand the kitchen being busy, but you have people sitting right in the restaurant waiting to be seated,but putting call in ahead of them because it makes them more money. they could have seated us and took our drink orders at LEAST! we were about to leave but all of a sudden they called out name. it's probably because they heard my kid and I talking about leaving. then it still took quite a while to get our food. now the service that our waitress did was good even when she drop plates and such on my wife's seat when trying to bus the table. lucky my wife was in the restroom and didn't get anything on her. I felt sorry for the waitress because a few of the plates actually broke.so I not complaining about the wait service we got but whoever is the manager should be replaced. to make people wait to be seated when you have plenty of room is ridiculous! if he had seated us at least we could of had our drink orders. needless to say we didn't order any drinks except water. also I have to say both of the steaks we ordered (my kid and me) were tough and I believe over cooked. me ordered med well. My wife knows I don't usually complain about my food but I just had to this time. it's been awhile since I've been to this restaurant and it looks like it'll be awhile before I come back if this is the type of service we are going to get. it's sad because we don't live that far away from it, but there are more places we can going the same area.
