Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Delivery driver here. I had to wait 30+ minutes for someone’s order to be ready, and that was only after asking THREE times and telling them I need to leave and have other people’s orders getting cold that they finally put my food together. I had been getting the run around of “it’ll be another few minutes” for a half hour plus costing me time and money, and the quality of the other orders just sitting and getting cold in my car. If I had not said anything I easily would’ve been sitting there for an hour waiting for this person’s food.

The employees are rude and treat you like you’re an inconvenience for delivering an order to someone from their restaurant. If they’re busy at all whatsoever except them to not care about delivery orders and not do them. There were people coming in 20 minutes after me and ordering in-restaurant and still receiving their orders while they left their delivery drivers to be screwed on their time and money. It is not feasible for drivers to be waiting over 10 minutes for an order to be done (which I waited WELL over the 10-minutes threshold) and this location needs to do WAY better.

I also wouldn’t recommend ordering delivery as a customer, because they clearly don’t care about the quality of your experience whatsoever and have no problem making you wait forever for your food. Please don’t put yourself on delivery services if your business can’t keep up with orders at a reasonable time, because screwing over your delivery drivers and customers is NOT the solution.

The crew member was very rude and told me I can’t focus on making your smoothie how you want it and kept trying to add more water to my smoothie now it is watery and nasty this was the worst experience ever

Most locations allow you to buy a 12 oz size in any flavor, the location in Walker does not. They also did not have the featured drinks. The service was friendly and my smoothie was ok. If you're in Grand Rapids I would recommend the location by 68th street.

Rip off. The wraps are smaller than your hand. For 10 bucks? I asked why it was so small and was told that's just how they make them now. Seriously? The other locations make them normal size.

The most dysfunctional tropical smoothie I’ve ever been too. Service was god awful, took 25 minutes to get an açaí bowl. Açaí was a mess when we got it, honey everywhere and completely frozen. Smoothie tasted like straight ice pretty much

It was a pleasure to get food here! The food pound per pound is a little more than other establishments; however, the quality more than makes up for it.

The staff is very friendly and pleasant to both chat with and willing to assist with your orders.

I had a terrible time. Makayla was a terrible manager. I asked her about a chipotle chicken flatbread and she refused to give me a refund and then she continued to yell at other employees in front of my face. It made me feel so disrespected and uncomfortable. I’m not sure what the Work environment is here but to be able to talk to your employees like that in front of a customer is unacceptable.

I asked her to put extra sauce and she drenched it in so much sauce it was uneatable. Had to get to an appointment so just went hungry.

I am disabled and struggle with hearing / auditory processing. When I ordered at the drive through, the girl who took my payment kind of mumbled something at me after I paid and then quickly shut the window and walked away. I couldn’t tell if she said to stay at the first window or to move on to the second one.

A few seconds later, I saw a different worker look my way, laugh then walk away as I was sitting at the first window confused because I simply couldn’t understand what was said to me. Ended up moving to the second window because I didn’t know what else to do since I was just sitting there and no one was by the window.

The workers looked young but that’s no excuse for treating people like that. Do better, there are people in this community that are disabled and struggle with things like this. I won’t be ordering here again, so congrats on losing a customer who has been coming here since 2015.

I would give no stars if I could. I go to tropical smoothie 1 time a week and this was by far the worst experience I have had. They messed my order up 3 times and then when they finally got it right it was cold. Here I am eating a nasty cold flatbread that easily could have been made right. My smoothie has no flavor. The guy was nice about all of it and the girl who was making the flatbread was so rude and threw it down on the counter. Never coming to this location again. 0 stars

Place is a rip off. They offer one size smoothie. Not small . Medium. Large. Who does that! There's no way my kids can finish that giant smoothie. Every place else offers different sizes!

I stop almost everyday and order the detox island green with pea protein and collagen. (Amazing when done correctly) At least 2 times a week, I receive a plain detox island green without the additions but charged for the protein and collagen. I spend enough money at this place and tired of not getting what I've paid for.

Ordered a pbcup smoothie. Got to the middle of my smoothie and started tasting banana. There were banana pieces in the smoothie. Obviously the blender was not cleaned between making smoothies.
