This used to be the only place I’d eat Chinese but it’s definitely not the same. Even the almond sauce used to be yellow and now is brown. The egg rolls has some sort of cinnamon or nutmeg flavor it was very off putting the rolls were hard and soggy how does that happen? the meal was a 2 at best. I’ll have to look around for another spot cuz yall know yo can’t just get Chinese anywhere.

OrderTake out one of the meals with sweet and sour chicken.Did not give us any sweet.And sour sauce. I called and all they said, was, i'm sorry.

Like most people on here have said recently, food has gone way downhill

This was literally the worst Asian food I've ever had in my life. The majority of the order was fulfilled wrong, the fried rice tasted SO BURNT, the white rice was crunchy, the spring rolls smelled terrible, and the chicken was extra fatty and only partially sauced in something that had ZERO flavor. We took 3 bites and threw out the entire meal. Sucks to spend $30 when you're starving and really craving food to get THAT garbage. Do not waste your money here.. ever.

So much food for the price! We got the crab ragoons, orange chicken and general tso, and enjoyed it all, especially the crab ragoons with the plum sauce!

Haven't been here in a long time. Because the food has gone down hill. Was just reading the reviews thought we might try it again. But after the way the owner responded to most of the reviews, talking down to their customers and being very rude. I wouldn't even think of coming back. You don't speak to customers that why.!!!!!!

Placed an order before 5pm through doordash and it said delivery in 18 minutes. But after submitting order it changed to say an hour and 15 minutes. Called restaurant and was told it would be ready as soon as possible they are very busy and was hung up on. Then got message it was now delayed further and wouldn't receive until 6:45. Was able to get it canceled so can't and won't comment on food. Will never order from them again.

Can’t get through to place an order. I’ve called 7 times in 30 minutes and get their recording each time. The food is good, but this is a major turn off. How do you expect repeat customers if you won’t answer your phone?

Been our “go to” Chinese food for years. Dinner tonight was so disappointing. Sesame chicken had some kind of new sauce which was blah. Wonton soup tasted heavily of cloves. Rice was a bit underdone. And NO dinner roll! Won’t hurry back, if at all.

We’ve been going to Boon Kai for years, but we no longer live in the area. Since I was a child, up until today I would’ve told anyone that Boon Kai was the best Chinese around . We visited family today and ordered carry out from Boon Kai. It was nothing like it used to be. The food wasn’t great, we didn’t get any dinner rolls with our order and the environment was terrible! I understand the restaurant is only carry out now, but the restaurant was an absolute mess. Boxes everywhere. It also seems as if the new owners could really use some training in customer service. The large sign hanging behind the register saying ‘Please be patient, cooking is in progress, if you don’t like the wait, McDonald’s is down the street’, was an unbelievable, rude, unprofessional turn off! Also the large Trump picture is not a smart business move. Politics should most likely be left out of any small business. I did read some of the Google reviews and the responses from the owner confirm his character. After a lifetime of raving and recommending Boon Kai, never again. I won’t be back.

I used to go here as a 8-10 y/o, I'm 42 now. My dad worked at the Marathon on the corner. I was friends with the owners son (I believe it has changed hands since I was a kid). The food was really good I have nothing but fond memories of this place.
