Old Stone Bar & Grill

This is a tough restaurant to critique. (I am not rating the bar since I did not have any alcoholic drinks.) From the outside, Old Stone Bar & Grill is not remarkable. Inside, however, the bar & grill has charm. It is small, but it has a rustic, comfortable atmosphere with a working fireplace. The service and food are good, but two things stand out that leave me puzzled. Prices seem high (even with today's inflation considered). Portions are small, and side items that were once included with entrees generally must be ordered as add-ons. Expect to pay over $20 per entree with bread included. Sandwiches and entree salads are in the $12 - $20 range. I may go back, but I may not because of the portion sizes and prices. If I could, I would rate Old Stone at 3.5 stars with the potential for 4 stars or more.

First time there and with the atmosphere and high prices we expected great service with exceptional food. However the service was mediocre at best, and the food was so bad it lacked presentation, and flavor. We ordered steak bites on mozzarella bread to start. The quality of steak was horrible, and it wasn't seasoned at all. The only flavor was the mozzarella. Then ordered dinner with soup. A chicken rice soup that was mush and the soup seemed to be made with a beef broth Not a great combination. My gal's diner order came with garlic bread sticks. She received them way ahead of her meal and tried 1 then asked me to try 1. They tasted like under cooked bland bread with no garlic flavor at all. Little Cesar's has extremely better crazy bread than this place. At this point we decided we had enough and were done. So I looked for our waitress and asked for our bill. She insisted that she could have our dinners wrapped to go, but I kept explaining to her that we were completely unsatisfied with everything we had already tried and didn't want our meals which were still not ready yet anyway.

So she gave me the bill and said we hope to see us again soon. No they will not see us again soon. There was no caring that the food was bad and no adjustments or discounts on the bill. Just a place that doesn't seem to care about the public that keeps them in business.

Great seafood and burgers!

Such a great place! We both had the salmon, Probably the best prepared salmon I have ever had and cooked perfectly. They had a very good selection of wines at good prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is cozy and relaxed, never really super busy and yet consistently good food and friendly staff

Stopped in during an evening working event. Had a delicious salad with salmon, like amazing salmon!

Terrible experience! Only go here if you wanna get sick! Ordered oyster Rockefeller and the oysters were rotten. Burger was bland with a terrible bun and only about a 6oz patty. They don’t know what an espresso martini is but have an espresso machine. If you value you health/safety DO NOT EAT HERE!

Food was fine but $34 for some perch seems overpriced. Staff was friendly and quick and the bar was quite dark, almost to the point that I had to squint to see the menu as a 32 year old.

All in all, it's a fine place but I wasn't blown away.

Quaint old style building. Cozy and friendly environment. Good food. Service was quick and wonderful. Great new discovery of a place to dine at!

Went here for my 21st birthday and will never forget it. I had such a great time with coworkers/ friends. This place left me with a feeling like I found a hidden gem that no one knew about. This place has great food, amazing employees and a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Owner is a psycho, wow send a meal back to get it cooked properly and he comes out of the kitchen and goes off, starts an almost fist fight and starts to berate me and call me "crazy" - scares the shxt out of the kids sitting at the nexdt table, seriously a scary human being that should maybe retire, not a people person and honestly after seeing how dirty his appearance was, I would never eat anything that he touched. what an absolute wretched person, never saw anything like it and have been in the foodservice business for many years. The waitress conveyed that she was new there and had been a waitress for many years and has never seen anything like this, im guessing she went home and is never coming back.
