Freda's Fish Fry & More

Was ok but not one of better visits. The manager or whoever she was seemed to be having a bad nite. Not too nice to customers and real rude to the young employee that was just trying to do things right. Granted we went late around 7 so I'm sure they had a busy long day. As they were out of alot of food. Our dinners were not as good as it all usually is but was ok. Hope it gets better for them there

Freda is awesome. Very good service and will go out of the way to help you enjoy your food and experience. We had a very large order and they were pretty quick. Gator was fantastic and a great selection on sauces.

I was very pleased with the fried fish. Such a magnificent selection! The batter was very good and crispy. The cod I got was thick and flaky. This is one of those small town hidden gems. The atmosphere is super casual, best for takeout but they have tables and chairs if you wish to dine in- One of those places where you just dig in to your hot fried food and go on about your business.

Found this little spot online and after reading reviews decided to give it a try. I went to the location and placed my to-go order and it was ready in just over 15 min. Staff was very nice and food was amazing. We tried the catfish, onion rings, walleye, hush puppies, fried pickle spears and shrimp. If we are ever in the area again will definitely be coming back.

I have never had a bad meal staying in or taking out of Frida's fish fry she is fantastic.

We eat here quite often! Sometimes we eat in and other times we get it to go! We really like the food and the mushrooms are the best around!!

What a wonderfully quaint place!!!We stopped in to get a feel of this fish shack we have heard about and read the reviews on. Very few real authentic sea food fish shacks in the state of Michigan but let me tell you I don't need to find another after finding Freda's. The selection of fish and sea food was amazing, you can get anything from ocean perch to alligator or shrimp to walleye. I personally tackled the walleye today along with a few of their "Munchies" like the mushrooms, jalapeños bits and of course hush puppies. The fish walleye was cooked perfectly and munchies were fantastic. Their menu goes for days along with their specials and let me tell you the prices were fantastic given the portions!!!! Last but certainly not least I was able to purchase some fresh smelt to take home and batter myself. I am beyond please with this place and the hospitality of Freda and her staff.Thank you all and see you soon

Food is so good ....and them frog legs are of the chain right along with everything on the menu very good

had a cod basket a jalapeno cheddar burger onion rings and fried mushrooms..... WOW! my first time eating at Freda's and wow... just wow.... was amazing ?

This place is the best!!! I love it's a little hole in the wall off of gun lake! They have some of the best fish and chicken! Highly recommend

Best ocean perch on the planet…omg am so glad I found Fredas again….l seriously will drive 50 miles to eat at Freda’s….this is how food should taste at a restaurant …fresh and delicious….and the price is right…FANTASTIC..
