The food was wonderful, the staff, friendly and attentive.. the only thing I might change was how dark it was. For older people, it was difficult to read the menu, even with glasses. I saw other folks struggling as well, passing readers back and forth.

We went for the 1st time yesterday for a date. I looked at the reviews on Google and was shocked the rating was a 3.6. Sherry was our waitress and she's was phenomenal! This restaurant should be rated in the 4 star and above percentile. Definitely will return!

Food was outstanding. Tomato bisque and French onion soup were outstanding. the bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly. Salmon was one of the best that I've had in a long time

I will give this review in a way that I think is appropriate. Ambience -love the fireplace .but is the restaurant supposed to be fine dining or casual ? Service is (the server was pleasant ) Food - Salmon and Seafood Risotto is well prepared ( presentation was excellent ) Scallops are very Salty ! Price wise acceptable Dress code ( All over the place -be prepared)! We will try it again after a few months to see if my review was written.

I had a bone-in Ribeye. It is my favorite cut. Let me preface this with saying I've been to some of the best steakhouses in Michigan, Indiana, Florida and Chicago,Illinois - Berns, Eddie V's, Maple and Ash just to name a few. The steak I had here blows them away. Big, tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. I think I talked about it for two days lol. The ambience is very nice. Comfortable seating. No noise. My server Sharri was fantastic. All I can say is if you are anywhere near this steakhouse - GO !!!

Shkode is one of the best high end restaurants in Grand Rapids. Their steaks are the best. Try the bone-in ribeye with wild mushrooms!

I like the dimly lit inviting environment. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing.we enjoyed the 2 three course meals for 95$. What a great deal for such wonderful enjoyable food. The wine is great too.
Second time visiting here, came for my birthday on a Sunday, had the seafood risotto which I had before and it was so good, this time all of our food was cold, risotto had no flavor and was cold and crunchy, she gave me a new bowl of risotto which I brought home to season it, seafood was cold and rubbery, soup was cold, ctabcake was tasty but also cold, won't be back

This is our 2nd time at Shkode Steak House. This visit was for our 30th Anniversary and the entire experience was amazing. The bread, wedge salad, filet/shrimp, and chocolate cake was exceptional!! The service throughout the visit was EXCELLENT. 9/25 5:00PM Reservation! My new favorite restaurant.

We split a ribeye and lobster dinner. We both got salads. Wedge and Caesar-excellent. The bread bowl they brought was the weirdest textured bread ever. Almost like a gluten free flour. Lobster was not terrible. Steal had great flavor. This was our first time here.

The food came out a little salty at first, but they were more than happy to remake it. The meat was cooked medium as ordered (perfect). The atmosphere is beautiful, can't hear the noise outside into the Casino. Don't know how that was accomplished but they did it; We sat by the fire and entire experience was amazing. The fries were absolutely on another level. must try ? Nora our waitress was great, and makes an absolutely smooth tasting Smokey old-fashioned Definitely going again.
