Best 7 layer cake in town - always fresh and delicious. I’m from metro Detroit and live in Alaska now and still have my father send me 7 layer cakes from Diamond!!

Best seven layer cake in town! Always fresh and always delicious. I'm from metro Detroit and live in Alaska now - I still have my father send me cakes in the mail. They're still fresh when they get to Alaska!!

I want to take a moment to thank the counter person James. I came in this morning to purchase a poppy seed roll. They were all out. James offered to bake one and have it ready by 1:00. Picked it up later. It was still warm and perfect and a highlight to my visiting out of town family.

Glad I can review. I am so glad this bakery is not close to my home, I would get their special deserts with too much frequency!!!!!. They typically have two deserts that are to die for. One is a covered wagon, and the second is a ding dong. Either are great but I prefer the covered wagon. If you have ever had Sanders bumpy cake, the covered wagon desert is similar where it starts off with about the most moist fluffy, fudge, devils food cake available. Then a lop of about the best buttercream sits on top followed by the ooziest fudge topping. I have to say after the commercialization of Sanders (it was only in name, which are now no longer available) this desert tops the bumpy cake hands down. And that is saying a lot!!!!! The ding dong has the same ingredients but less buttercream, it's just like a Hostess ding dong but a tad larger and way better. They also make a roll up cake with the same ingredients. You want to be remembered at a party or gathering? Bring one of these cakes to the event!!!! Your friends will talk about it forever!!!!

Dan and his staff are completely awesome! I have always had exceptional service and exceptional products. They always let you taste before you buy if you’ve never had it before, when applicable! I drive 30-40 minutes twice a month to go there! Thank you all for outstanding service, and products!

Just not what it used to be. Cookies are small and burnt.Picked up some rolls they were stale and hard. We are going to have to find a new Jewish bakery won't go back.

Ordered the 7-layer cake for delivery to NYC because no one makes that cake like Diamond does. Came in an impeccable condition and tasted super fresh. The taste was exactly as it did 20 years ago. Was delivered quickly, too!I am so happy the bakery of my parents and grandparents is still doing well.

Ever since the new ownership took over, Diamond Bakery has been fantastic. Always enjoy coming in for 7 Layer Cake and tea cookies. Highly recommend and a must visit if you are in town

This used to be my family's favorite Jewish bakery. But ever since it was sold it's completely gone down hill. Ordered a special Challah for the holidays. When I went to pick it up and it was pure chaos in the bakery, and the challah was nothing like the old ones we used to get even the seven layer cake was terrible.

Best rolls, cookies, pastry in the area...check hours as they are only open mornings to early afternoon! Definitely worth it! Been there for decades!

Lived in Michigan for over 40 years. Always went to diamond bakery. When I came back for a week ordered onion boards , onion rolls and poppyseed . Very disappointed. Now very poor quality. dried unappetizing onions on the onion boards. Spent just under $100 for my order. Never will go back. The days of diamond bakery and quality are long gone Disappointing. Nothing remains the same

This is the bakery of my childhood! I grew up going to Jewel bakery and have been looking for their pastries and breads for decades. Stop what you’re doing and go here immediately! Their 7-layer cake and pumpernickel bread are particularly awesome!
