Highly impressed! This is the best Japanese food I've had in MI - super fresh and authentic. I've tried both their lunch and dinner menu. The dinner menu is a lot more extensive in terms of options, while the lunch menu is simpler but has special items such as ramen that is not available on the dinner menu. I highly recommend the omakase sushi moriawase which is a chef's assortment of sushi, age dashi, matcha and red bean mochi dessert, soba, and katsudon. The seafood was incredibly fresh. We had a lot of fun trying the different types of fish in the chef's assortment. The age dashi was flavorful with a perfectly crispy and chewy exterior. I was really blown away by the dessert. It was almost too pretty to eat. The mochi exterior had a very high concentration of matcha. It was refreshing to eat after our meal and paired perfectly with the red bean. I have not had a more authentic Japanese dessert outside of Asia in Michigan. The service was top notch even by Asia standards. As soon as we got to our table for dinner, we were immediately provided hot towels to refresh ourselves with, a common practice in Asia. I have never received the hot towels treatment in Michigan. Our server was friendly and quick to clear empty plates and refill our cups of hot water. The aesthetics down to the menu cover and even disposable chopstick style were on point. Love Sharaku. Will definitely be back!

Sharaku(A restaurant where you can eat Japanese food)Cleaning: ◎Customer service: ◎Provided by: △Type: ◎Delicious: ◯ (snacks are good)Price: × (quite expensive)The menu or Japanese would be helpful.Delicious snacks♪Sushi may be good in America.I ate special sushi, but the more expensive ones from Japanese supermarkets or the conveyor belt sushi in Japan are more delicious. There are many parking lots.

We were really looking forward to lunch on Thursday, and we were the first to enter the restaurant, even though we had lined up before the restaurant opened! We were very upset when the waitress asked us to give up our seats to a group of five women who arrived more than 15 minutes after us. Our child was very happy to have a seat by the window with a good view, so why should we be treated like this when we were the first to arrive? It's very disappointing.Wasn’t there something the restaurant could have done, like taking orders and making customers wait in their cars? Wasn’t it the restaurant's fault that the operation was slow, lunch was served slowly, and the seats were full? I felt so bad.

Make sure you make reservations. I was unable to get in without a reservation. I hope to get back soon, so I can provide a real review on the food and service.

One of the best restaurants in Michigan. The best Sushi, incredibly fresh. The small plates are all innovative and really good. Ken, the operator is a gracious host.

Fantastic nigiri, loved the sweet shrimp, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail, melted like butter in my mouth. We ordered other grilled fish from the specials menu (salmon, mackerel) but didn’t get to take a picture. We also ordered the kushi katsu (pork skewer) and fried soft shell crab. The crab was balanced well by pairing it with the julienned vegetables on the side. My husband ordered two salads and loved the freshness of the greens. Lastly, the staff were lovely and kind . Will be coming back again.

A certain day in September 2021When I entered the store, I thought, ``Is this Japan? ” Interior that seems like an illusion ✨During lunch time on a weekday, most of the customers were Japanese.Weekly set meal $11This day it was sushi.Plus you can choose either soba or udon.I had cold soba noodles.Isn't $11 a good value for this volume and content? ✨No wonder it was so crowded ?✨The taste was also good.Even though it was very busy, all the staff members were very nice. This is a store you'll want to visit often. If you're in love with Japanese food, definitely check it out!Dinner on a certain day in October 2021If you go without a reservation on Sunday, it will be full.I was told that I would be able to enter after a short wait, so I waited in my car.I went to the store in about 10 minutes.I ordered bonito tataki to go with alcohol, but I guess that's what it was.The only alcoholic beverages available are beer, sake, and wine.I wish I had shochu since I only need one or two types.Dinner on a certain day in January 2022There was shochu.Potato, wheat.Whiskey isn't on the menu, but I asked and they had several types. To finish off the meal, I ordered some sushi of my choice. Although it was expensive, it was a good way to grab a few of my favorite things.2 adults 1 child $250An izakaya of the same level in Japan would probably be about half this amount (^_^;)The atmosphere of Japan and the fact that Japanese can be understood makes me feel at home.Dinner on a certain day in March 20222 adults 1 child $140I didn't drink much that day, and I ordered sushi as a set rather than individually, so it was cheaper than last time.As expected, everything is communicated in Japanese, so it's very comfortable. This time I chose the Omakase Sushi Special, and the content was good (^^)!There are many menu items that kids will love, such as soba, udon, and fried chicken.2022.4 LunchFirst lunch visit in a while.Tempura set meal $10.5Two shrimp tempura and various vegetables.Crisply fried tempura.I've been visiting here only in the evenings recently, so I was once again surprised at how good the cost performance was for lunch. We recommend arriving at the same time as the store opens, as it gets full by 12:00.2024.2Lunch visit. This time as well, we had a tempura set meal. 11.5 dollars. that? If you look at my past reviews, the prices have gone up! Still, it's cheap enough for this quality! It was delicious today too!

Beautiful atmosphere , there so nice and welcoming .. I noticed I forgot my wallet when walking in .. The manager told me just order what you want and pay later .. ( the genorocity meant so much to me ! )The only thing is I think it’s a little expensive for the amount of food they give you .. but I’ll problem give it another try

At last, authentic and excellent Japanese cuisine. We drove two hours from Grand Rapids just to have lunch here. From the greetings to the aroma and presentation everything was spot on. And then the flavors; so nuanced, delicate yet assertive. The noodles were freshly made and the sashimi of high quality. I love this place.
