Stage Deli Restaurant

The Ian’s Top Gun wrap used to be to die for. Nowadays, the chicken is always lukewarm and a small portion of chicken for the $16 they charge for the wrap. They stopped using the delicious Ians Top Gun Honey Mustard dressing (mayo based), but they can still make it on request fortunately. I just can’t justify $22 to get a decent portion of chicken on the wrap. And the chicken always comes out lukewarm nowadays. Wrap still tastes good, but the Stage is not delivering on the price they charge.

Just an absolute gem of a place to have a bite to eat. Our waitress Elizabeth was amazing and always 1 step ahead of our wants and needs. The menu was vast, the servings plentiful and overall had an ama,ing time.

Just a fantastic deli. I had a tuna on Rye with lettuce and Swiss cheese and it was delicious.

Wow, what a find! We met long lost friends here, a halfway meeting point between our homes. We met at 1pm Sunday. It was busy, but we got a window table right away. (Theres outdoor seating too). We were all super impressed with the extensive menu; something for everyone. Multiple soups and salads with European flair — matzo, borsch, to name a few. Many sandwiches, in addition to small plates, dinners, and yummy desserts. Two of us chose the Russian Rueben, one the Rueben, and the other a dinner plate of chicken livers with mashed potatoes and gravy (just like his grandmother used to prepare!). The food was terrific and the portions generous. I appreciate the choice of how much meat in the sandwich—regular and large, which is 3 Oz more, the availability of GF rye bread, good coffee, and a generous serving of slaw (enough for two!). Thank you. We will be back!

I always get carry out, food is top notch, Great service, extremely clean!

When you need authentic Jewish deli cuisine this is where you should go. Needed some catering for Passover and the gefilte fish stole the show. Platted it myself and everyone at the Seder table was happy!

The pastrami sandwich was fatty and soggy. I took a tiny bite and didn't eat it. Big waste of $15.

I love the food at this place. Unfortunately at times you can be met with indifference at the reception/host or hostess area.
Depending of the hue of your skin. I know this sounds surface and shallow … it depending it is a reality for some.
For instance tonight I came in for a late lunch and was met with a slight smile and an indifferent attitude from the hostess. Well,
This hostess would not remember the many years our community came from miles around to order a cornbeef sandwich on onion roll from the deli on 9 mile Greenfield area in Oak Park.
I feel regardless of the hue of your skin, fundamentally everyone wants to be treated with dignity and respect no matter their station in life. My waitress was great!!!

It was our first time eating here. We were in a time crunch so we ordered takeout. The guy who runs the deli counter was amazing. He was very accommodating and thoughtful- he made sure our gf sandwich was bagged separated from the our other food and even though we were eating at the high top tables on the deli side, the guy served us glasses of waters. My husband said it was the best corned beef he ever had!
