We stopped in for a late lunch after Christmas shopping at the outlet center. We started with the maple pecan glazed fried brussels sprouts. Then I had the Turkey Bistro sandwich (that caramelized red onion bacon jam is KILLER) while my wife had the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was all delicious.

I also had the Bituminous black ale, which I absolutely love.

Great beer, great food, great service... we were so glad we dropped in!

I went here while I was visiting and the salmon was delicious! I also had a mojito which was very tasty! The atmosphere was nice as well. The service was great. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Worst service ever! Stopped on our way north. It took 2 1/2 to get seated and eat and it wasn't even that busy! Five persons who came in after us received their food before us. Two of them got the same dishes as us! The waittress tried to tell us that nachos and sliders took longer to cook! There was Caramel smeared all.over my drink glass. I had to go to the restroom to wash my hands twice. My husband asked if the duck nachos were a good size for $22. The waittress said yes. They were small and the nacho chips were greasy and overcooked, the duck was dried out. My sliders were fine. We ordered duck wonton that were recommended. They were $14 and had 4 very small wonton. I will never return! Overpriced. By the way, a woman who appeared to be the owner went to every table to see how things were, but skipped our table each of the 4 times that she came by. This place is a waste of time!

Three different groups of people walked in tonight. And stood for a good 15 minutes without being greeted by anyone. Wow. Even just a quick. "HI someone will be right with you" would suffice.

Our first stop after hearing good things about the food and beer. The atmosphere was great, although small (expect to wait a little to be seated). We had the street corn dip appetizer which was perfect. For our entrees, I had the Pub Burger and my wife had the turkey bistro sandwich. The burger was excellent, nothing could have been done to improve it. The sandwich didn't quite meet the description. It had an excessive amount of mayo to the point of not being able to eat it all. The beer we tried was excellent as well. Where things fell apart is with our server. It started well, she was initially present and friendly through the delivery of our food. About the time our drinks were empty and we were finishing our food, she seemed to quit waiting on us. She stood at the counter rolling silverware/napkins, ignoring us and chatting with other staff. This was the experience for table next to us as well, who she had been serving. That table went to another server for their bills /boxes, which we needed to do as well. 20 minutes went by from the time we pushed our plates aside and eventually made attempts to flag her, before we received our bill. They were not understaffed or exceptionally busy. We will try again, hoping for a different experience.

We decided to stop in west branch for a quick lunch on our way up north and had the best experience! The food was delicious, the service was top notch and everyone was so friendly and welcoming!!! Highly recommend!!

Emma was attentive and very courteous. I had Mahi tacos that were perfect and my husband had the pub burger. He is usually critical but said it was great. That's rare for him. This was our first visit and is on our way north. Will definitely stop again

This was a wonderful find on a trip from Lansing to Alpena. Stopped in at the Highway and the server was very friendly and helpful from the get-go. I decided to order their turkey sandwich with their unique spiral fries. The flavor was outstanding, and I understand why it says it was award-winning on the menu. It truly is worth a try. And I'm not usually a big fan of turkey! Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the dish. They're in-house brewed beer was also good. I tried the amber ale as well as the golden ale. If you're anywhere near West Branch I recommend trying this place out!

We used to make this place a regular stop. When a waitress/ bar maid, ( couldn't have been older then 22 or 23 ) told us we had to drink some water to even things out before she would serve us another drink, we were floored. We're retired seniors. So we drank some water, after a couple drinks. We then got served another drink, and might I add, the last drink we will ever have at this place. My wife who was livid, looked down the bar and asked, why don't I see a single glass of water on this bar? She, of course, didn't have an answer. To bad, I enjoyed some of the beer they offered, but now loggers, lumbermans, tipsy bear, the country club, and any place around us will enjoy our patronage and money. Kids that don't have a clue shouldn't be working behind a bar. Signed, lost customer forever!
