The young man that took our order was pleasant. The service was adequate, but the way our meal came out was out of order. We ordered a mint lemonade, soup, salad, koshary, and mixed mahshi. IIRC the koshary came promptly after the order, then lemonade, then salad, then other entree, and finally the soup. Would be worth timing smaller dishes to come before the entrees or at least at same time, rather than each plate as it is ready. Either way, the waiter was pleasant and the food was quite good. The koshary was delicious and great presentation. Mint lemonade was great too. The place should look into getting some blinds as the sun was pretty intense before no one.

Had garlic whip, sausage, and macaroni béchamel -- all very delicious. Fresh warm naan to dip in garlic sauce. Kind and attentive gentleman server. We be back.

Highly recommend the macaroni bechamel, hawawshi beef, and chicken tawook meal. Portions are large, service is great, and the vibe is unassuming but welcoming. First time trying Egyptian food and would definitely go back.

Phenomenal food. Egyptian food is new to me and I will definitely be coming here again. Service is a little absent, but they were polite. Restaurant was clean and has an authentic atmosphere. If you're looking for something new I can't recommend this place enough.

Great prices and portions . Nice atmosphere. Some dishes are my favorites over others (Beshamel & Mumbar & Kibda). All halal (kind and humane to our food). Pictured below are the Macaroni Beshamel (layers of penne pasta, ground beef, creamy special sauce and cheese on top), Koshari (chickpeas, lentils, elbow macaroni, rice, fried onions, with a zesty fresh tomato based sauce .....but I always ask for easy lentils because otherwise it's just a ton and I don't mix in the dark red spicy sauce cuz the kick is too much for me), Fateer (looks like pizza but it's actually made from filo dough and fresh vegetables and cheese), Mumbar (seasoned rice stuffed inside a beef sausage casing), Hummus (very smooth and creamy topped with olive oil), and Kibda (beef liver drizzle with creamy hummus on top). Soooooo yum. Beef liver is super healthy for you but I don't like the smell when you cook it at home and here the taste and smell are just delicious (must be their marinade).

Great food, great service and a very clean dining area. The marinated chicken was probably the best I've had in a long time, absolute perfection. Their secret red sauce they serve with the rolled cabbage is addicting. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable for the amount and quality of food they serve you. This place may have just become one of my new favorite places to get a great from scratch meal. They have 2 locations, in Westland and Garden City.

Staff was lovely! We’d love to see more people dining in. We ordered everything we were craving and especially loved the Molokhia and the Koshary. To be an honest reviewer, some of the food didn’t feel entirely fresh such as the rice and mixed mahshi. However we can’t wait to visit the new location.

The hummus needed lemon, badly, so it was bland and not very good (almost tasted like unflavored yogurt). No pita bread is given with the food, so make sure you have some. Otherwise, for 30 dollars worth of food it was particularly overpriced. Don't bother with their fries, just get the rice instead. The girl at the front doesn't smile and struggled with counting the change. The food took longer then estimated by about 10 minutes or so, so give them extra time.I won't be ordering food there again because there are too many better options nearby. I live right by there too (I'll drive 10-20 minutes for far better food and service).

This restaurant was excellent. I had the chicken tawook and it was a large portion of food for a reasonable price. The chicken was superb and the unique yellow rice was dynamite. I can't wait to come back!

Had a wonderful time eating Egyptian food for the first time. Enjoyed the koshari bowl and macaroni bechamel but best of all was the hawawshi beef. Ended the meal with delicious Turkish coffee and tasty feteer. Experienced great service in this clean restaurant. Will be going back again soon!

Food was very good. I got my food about 10-15 minutes after my husband got his, but I think it takes longer to grill the chicken so I'm not going to fault them for that. We will definitely be back! Get their pita bread, the best I've ever had!
