Stopped in on a Saturday night about 7:00 pm. We waited a long time for this place to open back up :)
Upon entering, this place smells almost the same upon entering. Super bright and pleasant decor ! I like they kept the traditional dark blue and white and wood colorings. Oh, and that nice greasy smell, not as well seasoned as the old place though 😂😂. But in time that will return !
We ordered ahead on the app. We wanted to try several things again as it had been many moon since we enjoyed long john silvers.
We got the fish basket. A chicken basket and the popcorn shrimp basket.
First off. We didn't want very long. The counter staff is very helpful and kind. Helped with everything we need
Bring back the self service sauce counter. Having to bother the counter staff for ketchup and tartar and what not is kinda cumbersome.
Now onto the food.
Fish was ON POINT ! HOT, crisp and enjoyable. Several other reviews mentioned this as well and I 100% agree.
The chicken. Not so good. Hot and crisp. BUT, a tad rubbery and stringy texture. Not what I remember or would want to indulge in again to be quite honest.
The popcorn shrimp - Good. Hot and crisp.
Hush puppies were large and hot and crisp. Waffle fries were hot and fresh. Coleslaw is just as good as I remembered.
The cheese bites are neither here or there. Will probably pass next time. Really no flavor, just kinda greasy fried balls of batter.
Why four stars.
The chicken mainly ! Check your chicken supplier and get another one please.
We will be back for sure ! Fish all the way !

I sure miss this place I wish they'd open back up. Just a quick addition as of12-4-25 they reopened and I was not disappointed, it took a little longer than maybe I would have liked but the fish was on point. Thanks again im so glad your back. Also the remodeled restaurant looks great, ill be returning very soon.

The staff was ok, but the food wasn't like old times. No corn on cob. Chicken was terrible. Honestly this was the only reason I came to Westland, so won't be coming back anytime soon.

I’d been waiting for this location to open, but the experience was terrible. The drive-thru took an hour, and I was still willing to wait—only to receive burnt fish so hard my dog couldn’t even bite into it. Paying over $15 for a meal and waiting an hour just to get burnt food is ridiculous. LJS please improve your quality of food services, whomever bagged this order should be a shame of themselves.

Best part was I walked in, waited maybe 5 minutes? My order was ready at the time it was supposed to be and somebody checked me in. Customer service is on point, food was hot! Everything was cooked perfect 😋
This was last nights dinner, we're eating hush puppies with pot roast because they are just so darn good. We ordered two 8 piece family meals with fish/chicken, 24 hush puppies, corn, rice, waffle fries, BBQ/tarter sauce.
They didn't forget the sauce y'all 😭😁 im just mad Thanksgiving is tomorrow, cause I'd eat them twice in the same week. Yumm

It took 55 minutes to get 2 dinners and the manager thought that was OK saying everyone has waited at least 40 minutes we'll news flash not good I won't be back
Although we waited over 35 minutes for our food it was hot and very good which is the 5 stars. I would say the wait time and the loud dining room atmosphere was the reason for the 3 stars. There were so many food delivery people waiting for orders and people waiting for carry out orders very loud while eating. Next time I will bring it home and order ahead 🙂

I was so excited to hear that a LONG JOHNS SILVERS was opening. I drove from Ypsilanti to try. Well pulling up around 7:30pm a Friday nite, it was busy. I went thru the Drive thru, tiny wait I was at the window and I received the best customer service ever. Both drive thru workers were very very friendly and helpful. I got home with my food couldn’t hardly wait cuz the smell was so good. The FOOD was amazing and big portions. I will be back! Worth the drive!

Sunday and this Friday I went to long John silver restaurant in Wayne Mich, just opened again about 2 weeks ago. But it was my 2 time in one week. My complaint is I notice my 2 piece of fish was cut in half so really I only got a total of one piece of fish for more money. So I went back again Friday today and the same thing happened again and I ask why such small pieces and why are they cut in half so the guy was giving me such a hard time. But the price is higher with small pieces of fish. Very long wait time I waited one hour and twenty minutes Sunday. It’s hard to park and get out because people have you so blocked in.

The food was definitely not as good as before. Batter was doughy and chicken was like rubber. Hush puppies were huge. The green beans and Mac were good just didn't care for the crumble on top of the Mac. Waited forever for them to open back up so disappointed since I live across the street we used to frequent there couple times a week
