NO! This is not African this is African for people that don't know better. This is not Nigerian food. This is Nigerian food for people Nigerians don't like. This restaurant is the restaurant that was started by that aunty that no one eats. Really horrible fun.

Place sucks food never hot think they microwave it to
I ordered online and picked up my order. I ordered chicken, Yams, greens and cornbread. The chicken didn't have enough seasoning and one of my drumsticks wasn't fully cooked. Red and bloody. Greens had no flavor. The Yams were good, also the cornbread was descent. The tables in the lobby were sticky and needed to be wiped off. Please address these issues.

I honestly had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered over the phone and she was very upfront about how long everything would take and made sure that I was okay with it. Everything was ready when I arrived, and I spoke to the owner for a long time. She works by herself and is a nice little grandma so its wonderful that she is following her passion. The food itself was a bit pricey but I am happy to pay it to support a small local business. Everything tasted very good, and the portion sizes were large. The egusi was great but the cassava leaf soup was even better, with large portions of goat in each. I personally had a great experience and would recommend to others.

Never even tried the place. I attempted to so I walked in one day and asked some questions but the lady at the counter had a bad attitude and was not welcoming at all for it to be a new business. Needless to say I never went back I figured the food would be nasty anyways ??♀️
I ordered the vegetable soup fufu and it was absolutely delicious !

No. So upset drove all the way home for some overpriced egusi that was not even halfway full!! I wished I would have checked my bag before leaving I'm so upset. 26.00 seriously ? horrible service. Never again, I try to support but look at the outcome.

Getting egusi and fufu here is a treat for me. I find them to be fun and tasty. However, I wish the meat I received was better. It is consistently mostly bone and fat.

I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. We just saw the place and decided to try it. First off, our order was almost $60 for three meals, which is not too bad, however, for the portions we received?? Unacceptable. We paid and waited to eat our food. We were waiting, I noticed I kept hearing beeps. Then I realized what it was. She was MICROWAVING our food! Of course it was too late to ask for a refund so I said, many she cooked it earlier and just reheating it. That’s not too bad Our food arrived and mine was just warm. My sister’s “***** chicken was barely seasoned and undercooked. My brother had egusi and fufu with goat meat. Now, there was hardly any goat meat in there. In ful disclosure, I never had neither egusi or fufu so I have nothing to compare it to, but, the egusi tasted like an elephant at a zoo. I don’t know how else to explain it. I couldn’t even swallow it.I had Jollof rice with goat meat. Lots of rice but it was wet and mushy and again, just warm. My goat meat portion was small for the price.I would not go here!

The taste of the food was Bad, bad, bad. She sold us what she cooked for herself regularly. In addition, I ordered egusi but gave me bitter leaf and instead of pounded yam gave me cassava. I took a taste of her bitter leaf and spit it out. I do not recommend this useless restaurant at all…Bad food and bad service!!!!

From start to finish the experience was bad. I was the only customer yet waited an hour for my food. I blame myself for that though because I should’ve just left especially witnessing the worker microwave my entire order! I was excited to see soul food as an option however my joy turned into disgust and disappointment when I tasted the meatloaf which was wet yet dry.the Mac and cheese was over cooked and I watched him put sargentos shredded cheese on it before he microwaved it. The greens looked like it was going to be tasty but was proven wrong. There was no taste! No gravy for mashed potatoes. Ordered sweet yams but they weren’t sweet. I repeated the order and he still got it wrong. I also ordered the beans and rice. My entire order was bland and overcooked not to mention overpriced.
