This was the absolute WORST food I've ever purchased from a restaurant. I am so disappointed that I didn't check this order before leaving because I would have certainly demanded a refund. The plantains were burnt. The four small oxtails were drowning in oil and the jollof rice was overcooked to the point of mush and tasted like ricearoni. This is a one and done for sure- I do not recommend. Also I ordered inside the store at the counter and was forced to pay a $3 "delivery fee" for paying with a debit card. ( you don't see that charge until the receipt is printed) When I brought it to the guy's attention and his response was that it was a mandatory fee from the owner. This has to be the most ridiculous thing ever. I wish I would've forgone leaving a tip. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would.

Getting egusi and fufu here is a treat for me. I find them to be fun and tasty. However, I wish the meat I received was better. It is consistently mostly bone and fat.

Went for the first time a few days ago Oxtail was extremely tough, wasn't cooked long enough whatsoever It was also VERY oily like an insane amount of oil LOVED the fufu, I think it's the best around BUT I will not be going back because the owner took it upon herself to tip 10$ off my card 5/10

There is a new staff here now that cook food for the place OMG, Dec 20th there food is now excellent ,an experienced caterer from Nigeria OMG , I ate their jollof rice, I think I give the lady 99.9 percent! Try it now you will praise me later !

I gave it a 1 because it was as low as I could go pork chop was tough -mashed potatoes tasted like instant and green beans fresh from the can. candied yams are sliced and fried these were mashed with a few uncooked slices mixed was nothing soul food about it for what they charge they have no soul -well never order there again

First off, our order was almost $60 for three meals, which is not too bad, however, for the portions we received?? Unacceptable. We paid and waited to eat our food. We were waiting, I noticed I kept hearing beeps. Then I realized what it was. She was MICROWAVING our food! Of course it was too late to ask for a refund so I said, many she cooked it earlier and just reheating it. That’s not too bad Our food arrived and mine was just warm. My sister’s “***** chicken was barely seasoned and undercooked. My brother had egusi and fufu with goat meat. Now, there was hardly any goat meat in there. In ful disclosure, I never had neither egusi or fufu so I have nothing to compare it to, but, the egusi tasted like an elephant at a zoo. I don’t know how else to explain it. I couldn’t even swallow it.I had Jollof rice with goat meat. Lots of rice but it was wet and mushy and again, just warm. My goat meat portion was small for the price.I would not go here!

From start to finish the experience was bad. I was the only customer yet waited an hour for my food. I blame myself for that though because I should’ve just left especially witnessing the worker microwave my entire order! I was excited to see soul food as an option however my joy turned into disgust and disappointment when I tasted the meatloaf which was wet yet dry.the Mac and cheese was over cooked and I watched him put sargentos shredded cheese on it before he microwaved it. The greens looked like it was going to be tasty but was proven wrong. There was no taste! No gravy for mashed potatoes. Ordered sweet yams but they weren’t sweet. I repeated the order and he still got it wrong. I also ordered the beans and rice. My entire order was bland and overcooked not to mention overpriced.Parking: Located in a small strip mall so it was open parking

I’m very familiar with west African cuisine and this was a disappointment. My goat was mostly bone and fat. The one piece with meat was very dry and unpalatable. The rice jolloff was flavorless and overcooked. The egusi had an off taste. First time in my life I found found inedible- threw it all in the trash. At $65 for two dishes, I was very disappointed.
