We had the Beef Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes and the ¼ Fried Chicken with baked potato. Everything was amazing and super filling! The drinks weren't too shabby, either!

We stayed at the Konteka on a Saturday night in late March with our daughter and two teenage boys. We rented two rooms and us, as well as the kids, had a fantastic time. The staff was wonderful, rooms very clean with new mattresses and linens, and fluffy, clean carpet. The bowling alley was a blast, prices were more than reasonable and the food and drinks were great. It had just enough amenities to make it modern but not so much that we missed connecting as a family. We can’t wait to go back!

Good food and good service... Nice place for a bite to eat and stay. They have a hotel, convienence store and bowling alley... Through the late spring and summer you can see bears out the windows... Pretty cool!

Love the Konteka! We ate three several times during bear camp 2 years ago and returned for an overnight stay this year. Rooms are fine, service was great, our waitress worked her butt off and we still got great service. Prime rib was good. I am in love with the autumn harvest soup, I need the recipe. Pull tabs are always fun and the convenience store was a life saver. The biscuits and gravy can't be beat. Prices are very affordable.Rooms: Rooms were comfortableNearby activities: Close to the Porkies and our bear campFood & drinks: Food was great

We only ate at the restaurant. Food was OK. The waitress was nice but not very helpful with recommendations in regards to food. I was trying to decide between two different meals and asked what she would recommend; her answer was “I don’t know. I work here, I don’t eat here.”

Did not stay there just had dinner with the bears. Don't eat the seafood platter. My son got sick after that. Otherwise it was good food and service.Nearby activities: Porkie pine mountains not to far away, Lake superior beach close by. Lake of the Clouds rite around the corner. Lots to do around the area. We had fun while there.
