Got takeout on a Tuesday evening and the food was delicious and very good quality! Super happy with our meal! We got the potato skins, a burger, the Thai chicken salad and the bread pudding. Everything was great!
We came in for dinner. The menu is standard Pub fare. I had the Ruben one of the items they are known for. It was very good for pub standards. It is not kosher deli style so I am not judging on the deli scale. The fries were crispy and delicious. We also had the jumbo pretzel and cheese. The pretzel was made perfect and the beer chesse was excellent. Service was quick and friendly.
Attractive from the outside and clearly something of a hometown favorite, the tavern has positives and negatives. 3 star is primarily because of significant access issues.
Positives: Their regular burgers are well made and the service is excellent. Prices are 15-25 a head, and the lunch burger special is fairly priced. The interior is attractive and homey.
Downsides: Accessibility is an issue. Restrooms are down several flights of stairs...
