Our first server forgot about us. But the manager and Susan made everything right. The bottle of wine was on the house. The food was very good. The lobster dip was fantastic. It was nice place to have a quiet dinner for my wife and I.
Look, I get that chefs have new projects but since the owner left this place has just been a joke. We ask for medium rare and either get raw meat or burgers so well done they are crunchy. The front of house works really hard, but the food that comes out is mediocre despite it's presentation
Upscale dinner place like you'd expect near any Big 10 university... National class food and preparation excellent and knowledgable wait staff and upscale environment... Wine list is a feature
The Red Cedar grill is a great place for a quiet date restaurant. It's quite and quaint. The food was very good and the prices were very respectable I would recommend this restaurant.
Waited for extremely long time for mediocre, over priced food. Wait staff was pleasant. Wouldn't come for entree' again, but carrot cake looked amazing. I didn't have time to try it, may come back another time to do just that.
We have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience! Inventive, delicious menu, friendly prompt service.
Met up with family and enjoyed great service and amazing food. Note to self: Do Not Order EVERYTHING you like on the menu. We could not finish. Too many good selections! We all enjoyed our dining experience!
Great food and service, clean place with a nice menu
Food. Server and atmosphere. Happy hour is great.
This place was a fantastic visit. I was with a group of six from out of the area and saw it as a dinner option nearby. We took a chance on the place, and it far exceeded our expectations. From the presentation to the taste, the food was amazing. I had the Double Trouble Meatloaf, and it was fantastic. The others in my group said their food was great as well. For dessert, I asked for a slice of their well-known carrot cake, and they gave me the "slice" in the picture attached... After we were all done, we asked them what time they opened the next day and told them we'd be back when it opens. If you're in the area, check this place out!

Excellent. Plate size/price great
Waitstaff was very friendly and very helpful. Food was basically good, but steak was overdone, ravioli and chicken very salty and wine was remembered when reminded. Just needs some attention to detail. Decor and ambiance really nice. Great for a date or celebration.
I was truly impressed with the Red Cedar Grill and couldn't wait to write this review. The atmosphere and hospitality were both great but the food as even better. The menu is creative and well done earning my highest possible recommendation.
Really enjoyed the meal. The young lady who waited on us was upbeat and knowledgeable about the food.
Only went once a couple years back.
