The service was very poor. Manager was nowhere to be seen. poor service means poor management which falls on the owner.
Great bar and restaurant in Williamston (a suburb of Lansing, Michigan).
It's one of our favorite places!

It's a fine place to go until things get super busy. But that might simply be a side effect of being the best in Williamston. Everyone wants to be there.

We had lunch here for my birthday today just before 2pm. It took 30 minutes before they took our order and there were fewer than 10 other tables seated at the time. The truffle fries were super good! The cajun shrimp pasta was only okay; certainly not worth $26, and not worth finishing either. The risotto was not good. The onions were under cooked so they were crunchy and the chicken was so dry I could barely choke down the one bite I took. I drove an hour to get there because I wanted the risotto, specifically. The gluten free menu has creme brule on it, but it turns out, it is not actually gluten free, so we had to get the chocolate cake. The gluten free chocolate cake is by far the BEST gluten free chocolate cake I have ever tried.

We love Tavern 109 from the wonderful varied menu to the unique ambience to the super attentive staff. It's our place for special celebrations. Shout out to our server Katie. She was awesome.!
Simply Excellent!! Atmosphere & Aesthetics were great. Food was all excellent, everybody in our group commented on how good their dish was, we shared 3 apps and all really enjoyed each of them. Sauces, dips, & dressings especially. Prices were fair, good really considering the quality of the food. The staff were great, friendly and polite. Can't wait to come back!

They need to invest in sound dampeners on the ceiling. So loud!! The impossible burger was hardly cooked. Very stressful place.

Stay away from the chicken and waffles. Anyone who raved about this dish please travel south of the Mason Dixon line. First and foremost they are battered chicken strips. If your going to use chicken strips please list that on the menu. The batter flakes off the strips as soon as you attempt to eat it which is probably a good thing. The batter I would describe as wallpaper paste with less flavor. Service was slow but friendly. For a place with a great location and atmosphere do better with the food.

A great experience and totally worth going to for a night out. The food is good. It isn't going to be your cheapest option but the atmosphere and staff are very friendly. A great place for drinks and food would highly recommend checking it out!

Have enjoyed Tavern 109 in the past and very happy. This time the quality of the food was not great! We both had salads: Chicken Cobb and Beef tip. It came out super quick so we should have known it was not going to be fresh. Both meats were clearly made at an earlier time and then added to a BUNCH of lettuce. We had the two salads, one beer and a water and the bill was close to $50. I do not mind spending for a good meal but this was not it.
