“Where do I even start? Every time I go here or order takeout it’s worth it. You can taste the love and the genuine care that’s put into these recipes. I ordered the Reuben pizza tonight as a carry out, I traveled 45 minutes out of my way from Petoskey plus a 30 minute drive home to Gaylord. I got to share this pizza with 2 people that have never had it and they loved it as much as I do. If you’re not familiar with this gem of a restaurant you should be. This place needs to be a destination whenever you’re traveling through northern Michigan! The thirsty Sturgeon will always hold a soft place in my heart and a soft place in the hearts of those I get to share the experience with! Kudos to you Thirsty Sturgeon, keep doing what you’re doing and the rest will fall in place!“

“This is the pinnacle of the "biker bar" experience, if you like that sort of thing. Numerous motorcycle clubs are rocking their colors and everyone is getting along just fine. There is indoor dining but the fun is out back, where there is a covered bar/smoking section/bandstand/dance area. I've been here several times and it's always basically the same type of friendly group. They had a half slab of smoked ribs special last night with two side dishes for only $17! The band was great and played country and rock hits everyone knows. If you're a biker, you'll love this place!“

“Foods delicious. The burgers are absolutely one of my favorites or prime rib on Saturdays. The portion sizes for some things aren't the biggest and it's a little costly. The people that work there are some of the best to be around especially bar tenders. They own other bars in the area. Id recommend trying the Torrey tavern location wolverine, MI. Less expensive and more of a bar atmosphere. Music nights. They also own the wigwam and corwith in the surrounding areas. Try them all out and find the one that fits you.“
