Golden 28 is a must-visit for authentic Vietnamese flavor and warm hospitality! We had a delicious spread mussels, chow mein noodles, fried rice, and egg rolls and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
The mussels were tender and well-seasoned, the chow mein had the perfect balance of texture and sauce, the fried rice was fragrant and satisfying, and the egg rolls were crispy with just the right crunch. Each dish was served hot and full of flavor.
What made the experience even better was the sweet and kind person who served us they truly made us feel welcome and appreciated. The service was attentive, patient, and genuine, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is peaceful and cozy great for a casual lunch or dinner. Golden 28 is definitely one of Grand Rapids’ hidden gems for Vietnamese cuisine. Five stars all around! Will definitely be back.

Golden 28 is one of my favorite spots in town. The food is always great—from the Crab Rangoon to the rich, flavorful pho. Everything tastes fresh and well-made. The service is also consistently good. Even when they're really busy, the staff stays friendly and attentive. It's a solid place all around, and I always leave satisfied.
