Golden 28 is a must-visit for authentic Vietnamese flavor and warm hospitality! We had a delicious spread mussels, chow mein noodles, fried rice, and egg rolls and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
The mussels were tender and well-seasoned, the chow mein had the perfect balance of texture and sauce, the fried rice was fragrant and satisfying, and the egg rolls were crispy with just the right crunch. Each dish was served hot and full of flavor.
What made the experience even better was the sweet and kind person who served us they truly made us feel welcome and appreciated. The service was attentive, patient, and genuine, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is peaceful and cozy great for a casual lunch or dinner. Golden 28 is definitely one of Grand Rapids’ hidden gems for Vietnamese cuisine. Five stars all around! Will definitely be back.

Golden 28 is one of my favorite spots in town. The food is always great—from the Crab Rangoon to the rich, flavorful pho. Everything tastes fresh and well-made. The service is also consistently good. Even when they're really busy, the staff stays friendly and attentive. It's a solid place all around, and I always leave satisfied.

Do not be fooled by the EXTREMELY low prices under the menu section! These are 100% NOT the prices! Sent my husband with our order expecting the price that they have listed online! Which would have been about $40….when I checked my bank statement my husband paid almost $80!!! That is insane!! I am going in tonight to speak with them. I feel like maybe they should either update the prices or just delete the menu! Oh and it cost more if you pay with a card! The food was good! But it was not $80 soup!!

Very disappointed. Clarified my order several times and still got the wrong thing for $15 that was overly salty and gross. Won’t be coming back.
