The young lady that waited on us was sweet and polite. There was a slight communication problem about whether or not our burritos came with rice and beans as a side...but that happens sometimes.However, there was precious little meat in the burritos and what came in mine was very dry... the bottled water was $3.50 a bottle for an inferior brand. (Definitely not Voss like the cash register listed.) The salsa that I tried out from the salsa bar was excellent and unique...but we paid $37 cash for dinner which consisted of two burritos no sides, two bottles of water and a small side of guacamole that I added.. to me that is not a competitive price in a very competitive Mexican food market on 28th street... and my husband was pretty shocked by the price as well, to put it mildly.I do understand that prices are up for everything right now and that the restaurant business is a tough one.. my constructive suggestion would be to have a rotating nightly special that is clearly presented i.e. a sign for everyone to see and make sure that it includes rice and beans or at the very least one portion of chips so people can try the different salsas.... this way the restaurant still makes money (especially if they use whats on sale that week) and the customers feel like they're getting something a little extra.

A lil pricy. My sister ordered two shrimp tacos $5 and I ordered the lunch special 3 tacos rice and beans. $24!!!!Rice was great! Beans were a bit runny. Tacos were all over the place! I think I got more onion and cilantro and tortilla than chicken!!!BUT I did have enough to make another taco once I got finished!Good spot for lunch though

This place is great overall. The Al pastor is now the best in town. So why a 3 star? They just went to cash only!!! This will cost them crazy business. My team and I go often and now it’s not on our list of places anymore because nobody carry’s cash. I don’t think you could even pay with like Venmo, or Apple Pay either.

This place used to be my go to for good affordable food but now they have raised their prices and its crazy. 4-4.50 for a taco and the 10$ special is 12.50 now! It used to be a good deal but now not so much. Food is still good though but i wont be coming as often anymore.

Food was great. Generous portion sizes. However their 3 taco special is now $12.50. They charge extra if you want cheese on your tacos. They also charge an extra fee if you pay using credit card but won't tell you about it at checkout. Two taco meals for $30 before tip. At that price I'll go to my local hood spot for Mexican style tacos.

We seriously love Poncho’s Tacos. Nothing overstated or complex, their dishes are hearty traditional with reasonably large portions. Their prices are practical and the quality is incredible. There’s not a huge amount of seating, so you may end up having to order to go. But make sure to stop by the topping station to get all the salsas and extras you may want!

The Asada, Tinga, Pollo, and Chorizo tacos were all delicious, plenty of toppings and tons of meat. The Pastor tacos were absolutely incredible. These will be a new obsession!! The green salsa had some major heat but was really good.
