I've been going the the Char intermittently for years now. Unfortunately they are a bit too far for a day to day stop. With that said, I've never been disappointed with the food. They are usually busy. They have a hopping takeout business, so dining in can be a bit of a wait, although well worth it. My family and I have tried most of the Char's offerings with wonderful results. I would recommend the loaded mac and cheese. The staff is always cheerful, helpful, and pleasant. I will continue to return.

This is not barbecue it’s way over done pork jerky. Avoid spending money here. Horrible food.

The level of disappointment i had was crazy. Pulling up i got the feeling I was going to have taste buds dancing. Unfortunately the brisket and rack of ribs killed my taste buds. It was terrible and petrified. Cornbread was frozen, I brought this to The teenagers attention at the desk and kindly asked if he could just microwave it. Apparently they don't have microwaves..... don't waste your time. I love bbq, but this place is a firm no. I'm surprised they're still in business giving people this crap bbq. I usually don't put photos, but see photo for petrified bbq. If I wanted jerky I would go to a jerky outlet.

I'm trying all wood fire pizzas in the area and this one is the worst so far. Reminds nothing of a true wood fire pizza, very chewy and the bottom was raw.

The ribs were dry
The pizza was just ok
The Cole slaw was not good (at least in my husband's opinion).

The brisket was not great

I enjoyed the Char-fait which is twist on the parfait but with a layer of mash potatoes, amazing pulled pork, delicious Mac & Cheese another layer of pulled pork, another layer of Mac & Cheese, pulled chicken that was not dried out. Topped with a chicken wing and pickles. It was so good I went back a week later and bought more to share with others to experience.

Good bbq, friendly staff and owner. Little tight when it is busy. Ordering line, drinks and bathrooms are all in a small space but it is worth it for a trip every time.

The ribs were so tough and stuck to the bone. They refused to give a refund for $8. They did offer to exchange them but at that point I was didn’t want anything else.
