Stopped in on Saturday with a few friends and had a great lunch. If you've never been here you have to try this place! The place has friendly service and a nice little indoor dining room. For nice weather days they have a covered patio/deck as well. They offer a nice selection of sauces and we all opted for one of each sauce with our meals. Pictured are the sauces, chicken wings, ribs, mac and cheese, coleslaw, corn bread and the station wagon meal which is large enough for 2-3 people to split. They also have a selection of sandwiches and wood fired pizzas available which looked amazing. Don't sleep on this place - try it out!

Came here with some friends and ordered a 1/2 brisket and two small sides of Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I also tried the apple pie. The Mac and cheese was good, just a bit boring in flavor after while. The mashed potatoes were covered in "rustic butter". The apple pie was delicious, and I unfortunately let it get a bit cold since I saved it for last. The brisket meat was good and flavorful, and the sauces seem to be free with the entrees, so you're free to experiment with flavors.

I recently tried this place for a to-go order, and it was fantastic from start to finish. As soon as I pulled up, I could smell the smoker from a mile away—it was such a mouthwatering welcome! The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure my order was just right. Even though I only stopped in to pick up, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, like you’re walking into a friend’s place.
The food itself was absolutely delicious—well worth the trip! Each bite of the ribs had that perfect smoky flavor you can only get from someone who knows their way around a smoker. This little spot may not look like much from the outside, but it’s clear they put their heart into every meal. If you’re in the area, definitely give this hidden gem a try. I’ll be back for sure!”

I dropped by one nice Saturday afternoon and was very happy with my meal. I got the mini meal sampler with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I had the pork and beans and mac & cheese as sides. The meat was fantastic and tender with great flavor. There are a bunch of options for sauce, and both I tried worked well. The mac & cheese was delicious with lots of tangy cheese flavor. The beans were pretty heavy on the tomato, but were still good. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend American Char.

Rarely do we get good cuts of meat. What you do get is typically smoked good, but they don't care if half your order is all fat and the other half is what you actually ordered. Too bad you basically pay by the weight. BTW, the chicken never seems to be cooked long enough. It's cooked but not fall off the bone cooked.
You can do better than this!

I guess I'm spoiled with the bbq down south, this was dry with little flavor. Beans had a strange flavor and they had no potato salad....ribs without potato salad? My guests joyed the meal but hadn't eaten but once at my regular joint. I'll try them again when in the area.
