I REALLY want to love this place, but the service is always terrible. 4/5 my order comes out incorrectly. Hot fudge sundae with hard ice cream. Simple. Who knows what I'm actually paying for... am I paying for the price of the hot fudge sundae without the extra costs of hard ice cream. Are they charging me the premium costs and then giving me soft serve? Three attempts today for them to get it right. First order comes out with hard ice cream, no hot fudge. Second order comes out as a soft serve hot fudge sundae. Finally I get it right and the women says she couldn't hear me when I ordered it. But she never asked any questions. Not even when she messed it up the first time! I generally just take the wrong order but this should be brought to the attention of the owners. 4 out of 5 times its wrong. Its not peak busy season which was what I was dismissing it to before.

This has always been one of our favorite places in the West Michigan area. It is not only nostalgic, but it also never fails to provide exemplary service and flavors. Whenever I am back in town, I always make sure to stop by. The Turtle Sundae is UNDEFEATED!

Captain Sundae is hands-down our favorite ice cream spot! The sundaes are always loaded, creative, and absolutely delicious—every visit feels like a treat. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when the line is long (which it often is because it’s that good). The atmosphere is fun and family-friendly, and it’s the perfect stop after a beach day or just because. We keep coming back and recommending it to everyone we know. Captain Sundae never disappoints!

We have been coming to Captain Sundae for years and tonight we were totally disappointed. Simple order of two chocolate peanut butter shakes that were so runny and no peanut butter what so ever. Serve was not great either the girl had no personality and acted like it was ruining her night having to be at work.
