I'll start off by saying that service was friendly and fast, I left relatively satisfied, and overall I do not regret trying this place out.

Now let me talk about my experience:

After walking in, there were no signs saying "Seat yourself" or "Please wait to be seated". I waited at the front counter for about a minute before someone came to help me and when I told her I was dining in, she let me sit wherever and she brought menus out to me.
I ordered the taco dinner (carne asada), which came with 3 tacos and rice and beans for 12.99, which was a little much considering they only charged 3 dollars per taco a-la-cart. I wish they had included more beans with the amount of rice they gave me, but the taste was the same you would get at any midwestern Mexican restaurant, which is to say pretty good.

The carne asada itself was fairly dry and bland. I'm from Arizona so I know what good tacos taste like and I have very high standards when it comes to carne asada. That being said, it was not dry to the point that it dried out my mouth while eating. Their salsa Roja and Verde were pretty decent and went well on the tacos. I ate all my food and was satisfied for the most part. I probably wouldn't come here again on my own, but I would definitely come back if I was with a group of people who wanted to come here. Prices are a tad high but I'm sure their other food is pretty decent. The food came very fast after I ordered.
One other thing I thought was weird was they gave me chips and a small bowl but the only salsa they gave me was the red and green squeeze bottles for the tacos. They were good on tacos but not great for chips. Also they put a lot of cilantro on the tacos but somehow it didn't taste very cilantro-y at all. Not necessarily a bad thing but I love cilantro and would have liked a little more strength in that regard.

Overall I paid a little over 15 dollars for my food and my drink, not including tip.

I'm from Texas and I've had my fair share of Mexican food, this place is top notch!

We ordered the steak tortas and I swear on my life that they easily tied for "best torta of my life"

Highly recommend you guys stop by. Small shop and charming atmosphere with huge portions for a great price!!

Went there during my lunch & it was fairly empty. However, the service was really slow & the food took over 20 minutes. Don’t recommend!

Absolutely delicious food. I've had a lot of Mexican food and none has me scraping the plate like this spot does. Me and my girlfriend came to Holland for a weekend for the tulip festival, stopped on our way in at this place, and then stopped again on our way out because it was so damn good. Highly recommend the enchiladas, or the chilequiles

Seriously the most underrated Mexican restaurant in West Michigan. Fresh ingredients, consistency of quality, and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Best Guac in region.

Best authentic Mexican restaurant. Guacamole is best I’ve tasted. Interior setting is more cafe lunch style looking vs. a nice atmosphere to sit and eat in - wish it were nicer in that regard. But go and Eat there….you won’t regret it!!! I see people complain of the service time - remember this is a small ma and pa shop with typically one person waitress…it’s not Ole Tacos fast food or a restaurant with multiple waitresses. We frequent there often, she has always been very kind and pleasant to us.
